Photo has to be 1956 or later as the Ford is a Consul II.

I love the utter dejection in the stance of the milkman and the pollarded trees (don't see that so much these days)

The image I nicked from https://expressdairytales.uk/ed-retail-london-and-south-1974-and-before - they've popped that 1948-50 caption on the picture and I'd agree that it's too early for the cars but, seeing as it's pre-internet then (in a few years) it'll be a 'fact'

Jeez - Procrastination Tuesday :-)
Here's another from Express Dairies - is that a bucket of milk in the boot? I was thinking the car was an Allegro but the window line is all wrong - AlfaSud? Site says this is 1975 - Mk 1 Capri?

As SCC says, Marina Coupe. The bucket is probably when she carries rear seat passengers as it stinks of sour milk and the wollowy suspension does not help.

Messrina coupe

Oooh - I'd forgotten about Marina Coupes, proper crumpet pullers until surpassed by the Allegro Equipe

(Actually, I should not be too sarcastic as teenage me & my mates would have had either car at the drop of a hat)

Early example  of crumple zones in action. The big barge (Impala?) has used the entire front of the smaller car as it’s crumple zone.

It's like a 1950s American shiter meet! The three wheeler behind the utility pole is presumably a Davis Divan.
