Is Haynes still going? I once looked at an Escort RS1600 there. Didn’t buy it, was sensible and put the money towards a house. As it was 1987 and house prices went through the roof in the south east over the next three years, it was probably a good move.

The crims being chased didn’t worry. Either it ran out of fuel (if it was a V12) or broke down.
