They used to have quite a few old tractor units (circa 50's I think) still in use on local steel runs in the 90's & where based just of the south bound end of J34 of the M1.

There's a picture of an Escort RS Cosworth in the petrol station booth, so 1992 or later. Which would make the Datsun 120Y at least 15 years old at the time, a fairly good lifespan for a 1970s Jap!

This picture is perfectly representative for that time imo. Opels everywhere, and things with high roofs were vans and the occassional 4x4, the latter wasn't really a posh lifestyle icon yet, and was usually owned by someone who truly needed one.

The 2 door E30 was called a saloon, not coupe.
