When I was updating my spotty thread the other day I pressed 'post' only to be told 'too many pictures to post' or some such. To save me having to rewrite and split a long post again I was wondering how the picture limit was calculated. Is it the amount of pictures or a data total for all the images? Counting back I had about 50 pics so understandable really.

Its number of images per post.

Has to be a limit or those with slower connections would wait all day for page to load.

Just trying out a lazy loader.....

This simply delays loading images untill text for page has finished loading & should hopefully speed up  board.

Dunno if it will work but worth a try.

I've been away from the forum for a few weeks and logged back on for the first time today.

 

The 'go to first unread post' link no longer works.  Just takes me to the first post of each thread.  Is there a fix for this?

Dave - Tapatalk isn't doing quotes. When you read someones post with quotes it just looks like a normal post.

I can't currently edit posts - the buttons in the edit box don't work.

Correct me if I'm incorrect but I vaguely recall there being talk somewhere sometime of a 'block' button or summat whereby you could choose to not display posts from a certain person or people. Does this exist? I've had a bit of a root about but can't seem to find owt.

Click arrow next to your user name at top of page/Manage Ignore Prefs.

Still can't edit posts - but is only affecting Chrome. Firefox is working.

On Tapatalk Dave for some reason quote boxes arent showing anymore when reading a post so it all blends into one although they work on other Tapatalk forums plus i can't seem to be able to upload photos to the forum anymore via the app either?

Trying to put some pictures into a reply on the News 24 thread but keep getting the message "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community" I am using the image box and pasting in the picture URL from Picasa Web Albums which is what I usually use ?

Hi Dave I did a bit of digging and it seems Google are making it harder to use Picasa as they want every one to move to Google Photos! I messed about and finally got the picture URL to work by simply adding .jpg to the end of the URL. I like the ease of using Google for picture storage and stuff but hate Google +.

Tried to use google photo but it just gives you a link that can't be used to embed the image which is to say the least Feckin Useless!!

Dave, I think the "Archive this conversation" (for saving old PMs before deleting) isn't working - no emails are arriving in my nominated address.

I have activated new Archive system for emails.

 

Select those that you wish to save,select archive in dropdown at bottom.

all tested & working.

Thanks Dave... Do you mean on the "My Conversations" page? 

 

I can tick to select messages, but at the bottom I have this, but no archive thing to select:

 

 

If I click into the message, I have this at the bottom, just like before:

 

 

When I click [Archive Conversation], I get the little pop-up saying "The email has been sent to [email protected]" just as before, but I still have no emails arriving.

 

Am I being dumb?

I suspect you need to claer your cache etc,You should have an archive option showing under "Turn off notifications"
