Comma then space between names I think. If you start to type the name you should get a drop-down list of matching users, click on that and it should insert the name and comma ready to add the next name.

I had the same message screen when I tried to log on at 5-30pm.  In fact, I could not get the front page or the .info webpage either.

Dave, recently when using the Tapatalk app everytime you like or quote someone's post it automatically make you "follow" them, it's pretty annoying. Is this anything you can fix or even remove or is it just a Tapatalk thing we are stuck with?

This is going really weirdly. I can now post pictures from eBay, but copying the link doesn't work (it won't paste on here) unless I type words out on my post, then delete them. Some of the words are coming out backwards as well, fuck knows what's going on

And now for something entirely different. Money. This thought was triggered by Burger1 and I wish to follow up on it.

 

Could you please let us know how you are doing financially?

I mean, not exact figures, but do you sail ahead of the wind, or in choppy waters against it?

 

If it's the latter, then please let us know, so that the ones doing monthly payments can adjust them accordingly.

And who knows, maybe some people chipping in only sporadically could be forced to make a voluntary contribution?

Have to admit,bit embarrased by upgrade fuckup,lots of money wasted.

But board is  expensive to run,we get loads of guest /lurker traffic on here so lots of hits per day.

Plus lots of  photos stored so uses fair bit of drive space.

Daily backupb  is 25gb a time.

Present server is possibly overkill but only just upgraded to it.

Its a dedicated server with lots of future proofing.

Cost,works out at just under £100 per month with Whm/cpanel etc.

Trouble is that its easier to host them on here,you dont get them disapear when picture sites fail/start charging etc.

Also there are about 100gb or more hosted here from sites early days.

Hear hear. Nothing more annoying reading older very interesting posts with the pictures long gone. Should be hosted on server. Im up for a fiver a month.

I've done it now. The Donate button is at the bottom of the page and there's a tick box to make it monthly.

Yo Daveb, a suggestion and a question.

 

Regarding the running costs of the site, I've noticed that you're not really one for asking for cash etc, but could you put something like a progress bar for donations somewhere on the home page, where the current month's donations are plotted against the monthly running costs? A nice big visual reminder of what it costs to have a nice site not full of spammy ads might help people remember to chip in.

 

My question is regarding the lost posts from the "upgraded" site, I recall you mentioning you might put the "new" site back up on .info for a bit so we could copy our posts back over, are you still planning to do this? It's not the end of the world if I have to rewrite an update or two but I would certainly prefer to Ctrl+C if possible.
