Fuck me that is a whole new level of optimism! It looks utterly, completely, mind-bogglingly average.

Had new wings that don't line up with the front valance too, and wanker silver on black illegal plates, I bet it's full of pudding

No, apparently; "The car is completely original, no welding, no rust, no filler and even has original sills!"

Obvs original doesn't apply to paint (and lack of S stripes), and no filler doesn't apply to the filler I can see where the wing joins the front valance. I think there's an extra zero in the price.

I think £25k must be a "misprint" too. Has to be £2.5k, which is still overpriced IMO.

The half-arsed bodgery is hopefully only cosmetic so can easily be reversed with a little bit of time and work to make a decent example. It does the car no favours as it stands.

Quote from the ad -

"No dents or scratches although the paint is dull so could do with a respray. There is a slight noise in the back axel, unsure what it is . . . "

For £25k ??

He who dares wins. The world's your lobster.

£25k Cortina shows no MOT history prior to current test either (unlike the £7k 605 which has plenty of fails and advisories back to 2006)

How much??? I have spaces 354 and 401 in that place. Must be scam as only residents can get into the place....

Possibly, but you'd be surprised how much a London parking space can fetch. I think the record asking price so far is £350,000 for a slot near Hyde Park Gardens.

There may be a separate leasehold for it, and as long as the freeholder and management have given their consent, the space can be bought and sold.

This is on Facebook at £13k, "Listed on eBay at silly money as I don't want time wasters"

"Oh Rodney you plonker".

Trippi trike. Favoured by disabled. See also nippi for full enclosed experience

Posted

Trippi Trike, hmm? Does it have LSD?

Posted

I think it helps. Some also lean and have reverse. The nippi is enclosed with drive to one rear wheel but can be used sat in a wheelchair!

There's an interesting story behind that B. Not sure the Aston connection means it's worth 40 grand though.

Not into mk1-2s but I believe that mk2 crayford from ofh still exists.

No doubt worth more than the E Type 'Rodney' ploughed it into, now!

I'd love to know what some of these sellers are smoking when they come up with a price. £25,000 for that cortina is madness, even from the pictures I can see its a fucking nail.

The £25k Cortina Mk4 2.0S ebay auction has "ended".

Right, who's bought it then? Come on, own up.

Was it a quick £24,750 "Owwld-aaht-yerr-aaand" ?

That Cortina is advertised for £13k elsewhere or has that already been mentioned

Maybe he realised he was being a spunkbubble and withdrew early to save more shame being bestowed on him and his family....

That Aston Sherpa Coupe was built around a Russet Brown BL marketing car (chassis GVADJ1AG510877) registered as DOL 341V in Feb 1980.  AM/Tickford workshops turned it around in 6 days during the following June, repainting in Silver Sand Metallic (BL colour) with added tidemark duo-tone colour to the lower flanks perhaps to match the height of the rubber bumperage at each end.

Additions were GT screen and side windows, Astrali wheel, Wolfrace 14" wheels, Tickford's own seats and roof.  The rear panel incorporated the recent legal requirement of reversing and fog light.

20 years ago it was featured in a delapidated state in MG World magazine, restored ten years ago - so it has been repainted again.  Back in 2013 it sold at auction when estimate was £12k.  It was was then seen again with dealer Noble House in Holland a year or so back, who sold the car when it was advertised at £30k.  As we can see, Aston Workshops now have it, quite likely a commission sale.  It's a coveted trinket, what with under 7k still on it, so quite unlikely to leave AM circles.

It still sports its gusset brown colour under the bonnet.

So it's almost in the perfect AS colour scheme.

Blimey! I guessed £15 grand as (I thought) a well OTT estimate! My dad had one identical back in the day and sold it for about 200 quid.
