(2)what the flip is a 'character flywheel'? Something like spin the bottle?

Had one of them on an old BMW once. Few teeth chipped off the flywheel. gubbed the starter motor too, made a REAL interesting noise when you started it.

Watched! If this is still going around next year I may bid £400.01 and see what happens!

You'll win it. Then what will you do with it?

Hope that when I go and view it it's either:

Blatently not as described and either money off or an honest backing out of the sale. Explaining that after it's long layup it needs this, that and the other doing (hoping the seller is not built like a brisk shithouse)

Actually not too bad, and the sellers just an idiot for not investing £45 on an MOT or £20 sorting the brakes out to raise the price by £200 and have a winter bargain for next year.

Or just keep adding it to the watch list and see if he cracks next year and scraps it/fixes it/drops the price!

The money he's spent on listings could have paid for the work + MOT by now. Maybe he thinks ebay is free to use?!

I personally don't think its too bad a lookin car. Just think he asking too much as it stands

I don't think it's cost him too much so far. Last time I checked I think it was something like £1.15 per time, or something like that. Still a complete waste of money though!

You used to be able to see on Goofbay but they appear to have changed it now. If you checked a seller's selling history there was a column with the costs in it for each sale, or non-sale.

The last time I checked Mr 405's listing history it wasn't costing him shed loads of money but as said all a waste however much it costs.

I thought a car listing was £10.00 a time?

http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/motorfees.html

IT IS.... so it is costing him £10 every time he lists, all the more reason to wind him up a little more everytime

I've sent him some questions this morning about its aircon and heated seats.

Clicking on that link, it looks like he's cancelled and relisted it another five times since this morning. So that's another £50 in fees then. :?

Stuff like this will not help really :D

^^

That.

I bought a pristine 405 GTX 2.0 auto estate three months ago with four months tax and ten months MoT, for the the same money.

And I do mean pristine.

Pug on watched list what an idiot if he sold it for 200 when he first started listing it he would be better off than he is now at 10 quid a time to list it. Be nice if we can get it up to 200 watchers

Posted

Don't you get an insertion fee credit if your item doesn't sell and you relist?

Posted

I think it's about time he got a serious number of watchers! Time to share it with all your Facebook friends etc

Someone on here should buy it,and be a Autoshite legend for owning the most famous 405 Style in the land. Maybe a photo of it could be within the Autoshite calender as we love that french fancy so much

I wonder if his tactic of ending the auction at 2:30am will be a success?

As other have said it doesn't look like a bad car, and I'd happily drive around in something like that. The problem is that it's worth £200 with no tax or MOT

What's it worth over the bridge these days?

The last listing ended at 2:17am and the present one 2:23 - staying up hoping somebody will bidsnipe then relisting it immediately when they don't. Gotta admire the guy, really.

Perhaps he's the opposite of the usual pissed ebayer - instead of getting drunk and recklessly buying a fucking princess hearse to put a V8 in and sell hot dogs out of, he fills himself up with whatever lager is on special offer at tesco express, and then when there's nothing left on the telly he cracks the laptop open and relists his 405.

Then wakes up in the morning to the shame of a thick head and listing comfirmed emails in his inbox, holds his head in his hands and swears he should really stop drinking so much. It would explain why he's such a grumpy fucker when anyone asks him a question

Look at this crock of shit.

Here we have for sale a replica 'Del Boy' van.

It looks and drives great and is a real head turner !

Has long MOT and Tax. Ready to drive away

Could be hired out for functions....

Grab a piece of TV history !!!

Right you fucking nutcase, you bought this piece of shit a few weeks ago for £605 on Ebay, you are even using the same pictures. I am intrigued to know why you think it is suddenly 380% more valuable than it was then?

I think 'Reflectionhairdesign' has been sniffing the hair dye a little too much.

what i find even funnier is that Rialto was around £5000 brand new, during the shows 3rd series, and i cant see Del spending that

They didn't do a 1.6 it's a 2 litre. purple didn't bother looking at the log book or it's a 1.6 lashed up to look like a gti. 2.0 115bhp, 8v engine I think. The worst golf gti vw made.
