anything with a rover 3500 V8. I think it was actually 3528cc

That's correct though, under 50 should be rounded down and over 50 should be rounded up.

Fiat 127 CL 1050, was actually a 1049cc - Can we let them off with 1cc?

(And the 127 1300 GT had a 1301cc lump...Maybe that's where the 1050's missing cc went... :P )

I can only think of one other example where the engine size was wrongly rounded down, as Trig pointed out. That's the Morris Minor 1000 which was latterly available with a 1098cc (ie Minor 1100) engine.

Don't want to drag this further off topic especially as it's not even Autoshite(but I will) but I believe the current BMW 116d actually has a 2 litre engine Shirley that's the most "downbadged" car ever?

And completely the opposite but not unrelated there was a brief time I thought the Lancia Thema 8.32 had an 8.32 litre engine - then I thought it was 8 cylinder 3.2 litre whereas it actually means something random like 8 cylinder 32 valve and it's a 3 litre - very confusing, it should really be the Thema 8.32.3.0 - although just looked it up and it's 2927cc so should really be a 8.32.2.9. It's still awesome though.

Anyway, back on topic...

Wrong Model... Check

Shit description... Check

£12K Overpriced... Check

That does look to be in good nick though. Chuck all the shit away and spray it blue or green or something = win.

Also knock about £11.5k off the price.

funny thing is it clearly isnt a money earner,as i know where that van came from, and the seller has bought it within the last 2 or 3 weeks......

for less than 2k im sure,so not a bad mark up(ridiculous and pointless as it is) for something that he has clearly just had the logbook back for.

I wonder how he came to the £12-15k per year earning potential for stag/ hen nights etc?

That's right - a trotter van an essential ingredient of a good stag night.

Christ on a bike it looks the remainder of one of those wanky Beetle based 911 lookalikes that was assembled by a muppet and left out in the sun to melt... what a waste.

We first clapped our sore eyes on that back in Feb.

It was a highlight of Ebay Tat Volume 2. Same old photos.

Rocky Aoki died four years ago. Go on someone, get it imported. It would go well with that chopped Ital.

For the 6th time

It's actually something around 15th-20th, he had a break of listing it for a couple of months. Somebody posted the original listing a while back but that's many pages and months ago.

It's a tenner a time to list a car on ebay. So the poor fool has spent at least £150 on listing the bloody thing.

Hmmm, this is a tough one, but I've decided it needs to go here, rather than "tat"

Laydeez and Gennermen, I give you......

It's a Lancia Thesis, from 2003 - i.e. 9, possibly nearly 10 years old.

And :

Type: Estate
103k.

So, bearing in mind its a 10 year old Lancia, never imported, and done over 100k, wossitwurf. No Peeking.

£10,000.

I would think even this is very negotiable.

A ten year old car that is a standout in automotive history for being designed with the keenest eye on the most rapid depreciation imaginable,

plus soon to be an orphan make?

When the phone finally rings, the seller can be sure of a couple of things:

1) Unless Canegrate is a city with a population greater than seven million, this will be the only person that is going to make him an offer.

2) This unlikely character is almost certainly an Autoshiter of the highest order.

I think Mr Seller is related to Mr Pug405. That said I'm pretty sure the price tag is a stunt, strange way to spend a tenner lisitng it though.

Relisted to make a point..

message to the 168 watchers of this car....

Well there we go.. just proves how many bored people are out there.. as I thought there would be in the original listing...

Lots of bids, but none willing to buy.. or even view....

I'll keep and enjoy.......

Even his diesel is a bit salty! £1.49??

Numberplate is valued at £26.99 a pair at Halfords, what's it meant to read anyway? I struggled to get a third of that for a year-younger Storm edition with a full years test. £1500 and it needs resto? You can bet if the sunroof is off the runner there's damp all inside, those things leak into the under-dash trays at the best of time and start to rot the a-pillars from the inside.
