Guest Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UNIQUE-RED-LE ... 3a7045dd9b Take one set of second hand Alfa 156 seats and weld them to a steel frame then flog them on ebay for £1495! I'd buy them, take the stupid frames off and put them in a Mk3 Cortina.... I'd buy an Alfa 75 instead.
RedSparrow Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I'm surprised he hasn't mentioned 'SEATS LEIK TOP GERE' or suchlike.
face Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Those seats would go great with a pair of white slip-ons.
dollywobbler Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I very much like the concept of Alfa interior seating, but no wife is ever going to agree to that amount of checker-plate inside the house. Great idea ruined by shit ugly metalwork.
Alexg Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 The seller of this non-running shit box is clearly on another planet http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1990-BMW-320I ... 35b97a35fcStarting bid: £500.00
Angrydicky Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 *** Rare and Exclusive Private Number Plate - " A LAUGH " *** Buy it now or Best Offer: £1,000,000 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-and-Excl ... 500wt_1361
Alexg Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 ^ What a fooking div, DatelessNo it's not! Please book if you wish to view the number plate prior to purchase Er?
mk2_craig Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 If you wack something on eBay with a buy it now of a million quid, how much in the way of sellers fees would they stiff you for?
quicksilver Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 that guy's having A 14VGH if he thinks that shit plate is worth anywhere near a million.
mattblack Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 that guy's having A 14VGH if he thinks that shit plate is worth anything. EFA How many times has this abortion been listed? A Custom Steering Wheel & Handbrake grip were sourced in carbon effect leather which whilst not period certainly enhance the overall effect Yes, it was all going so well until you fitted those non-period bits... What an utter jizzmop. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Model-T- ... 231992805b
flat4alfa Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 FRONT PANEL REMOVED AND I SHIPPED A CORRECT USED ONE OVER FROM AUSTRALIA. WHICH NEEDS WELDING ONE TOGEHTER WITH CLUTCH PLATE AND PASSENGER FLOOR SECTION £3000
trigger Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Yeah but it's a Swallowtail though innit, It's worth MEGA BUCKS.
eddyramrod Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 WTF is a Swallowtail??????? From here it just looks like the old-banger Mk1 Golf my mate scrapped 25 years ago.
trigger Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 It's to do with the back panel, the very first Golf's rear panel was like this. Lofoten Green (L61H) 1974 VW Golf Mk1 Swallowtail with Autoplas rear window louvres by retromotoring, on Flickr They are classed as the holy grail by VW fans, I don't understand why either but they can make BIG money. And standard Mk1 rear panel is like this. 1977 Volkswagen Golf 1600GLS 3dr Mk1 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr A straight swage line with no kinks.
dollywobbler Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 The most ridiculous thing about those swallow-tail Golfs is that I'm yet to see a swallow that looks like the back end of a Golf. It's the same sort of manufactured bullsh*t that sees people referring to 2-door BMW E30s as coupes.
Cavcraft Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Rear mounted radiator a belting idea. -371/10.
trigger Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320843436835? ... 1423.l2649 This Mk3 Cortina Autoplas window louvre SOLD on ebay last night for £400, Unbelievable!
cobblers Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Is it a faux pas to put my own stuff in this thread? Me and a mate are breaking a van. Had the tailgate for sale on forums for £50, no takers for 3 weeks so my mate boshes it on ebay:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320843012999? ... 500wt_1413 Currently 23 bids, £147! Bastard madness! Sliding door handle was offered on forums for £15, no takers. now on ebay at £41
R9UKE Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 10 year old petrol drinking V6 Laguna II with some ominous electrical tomfoolery going on. £1200 starting price. And the mileage isn't even special either! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/52-PLATE-RENA ... 500wt_1202
Negative Creep Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 10 year old petrol drinking V6 Laguna II with some ominous electrical tomfoolery going on. £1200 starting price. And the mileage isn't even special either! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/52-PLATE-RENA ... 500wt_1202 It was advertised under the 4 wheel drive section which is why i bought it and also why im selling it, Even though it is a dream to drive and I will be sorry im many ways to part with it but I do require a 4 wheel drive vehical.with higher road clearence Huh? So he thought it was 4wd? What a plank
mk2_craig Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Is it a faux pas to put my own stuff in this thread? Why not. This is probably the best percentage profit I've made on Ebay - bought job lot of mudflaps for next to nothing, sold these for: £107.99 Which was nice (apparently the going rate for NOS Tourer ones is higher still)
Rocket88 Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 *** Rare and Exclusive Private Number Plate - " A LAUGH " *** I think your chances of buy a valid plate that is "unique" are probably quite good....................
Cavcraft Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Soz to be a slight party pooper here, but isn't the idea of this thread to list stuff that's advertised for a stupid price rather than reaching it through bidding? Not that it hasn't been interesting to see how much random stuff is fetching though!
Ross_K Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Can there be any situation where a Renner 5 is worth nearly 40 grand?http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190639715905
cobblers Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Soz to be a slight party pooper here, but isn't the idea of this thread to list stuff that's advertised for a stupid price rather than reaching it through bidding? Not that it hasn't been interesting to see how much random stuff is fetching though! Fair enough, I wasn't intending to make it a regular thing, I was just excited at making 1/3rd of the purchase price of the whole vehicle back though selling just the tailgate and a single door handle But when you think about it, isn't stuff reaching a high price through bidding also down to eBay users having a bizzarely inflated sense of what something is worth? Only in this case, there was at least two of them for each item.
RedSparrow Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Is it a faux pas to put my own stuff in this thread? There is a thread entitled 'Autoshiters communual ebay crap thread' (http://autoshite.commlm/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5283) to flog your own bits. Or if you have a lot of car stuff to sell I doubt anyone would mind if you started your own thread. This thread was just to have a laugh at overpriced tat on ebay and seller's unrealistic valuations. /thread police
Mr_Bo11ox Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 I thought cobblers' tat was worth posting in here as it seems well pricey! I never bother looking at the communal thread as i imagine it to be full of fish tanks, weight benches, Sega mega drive games etc.
worldofceri Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Mr_Bo11ox's thread. Mr_Bo11ox's rules. Anyways, an absolutely mint condition MkII Transit camper might* be worth Five Grand. But this one ain't. Need to move it on quick as wife hates it Starting bid: £5,000.00 [ 0 bids ] "Well love, I've had it on Ebay all week with no takers. There's no point in giving it away, is there?"
