ebay 'BARGAINS'

I'm sure that Cortina has been mentioned on here previously (a while back now) and it was mooted it might have been an import. In all honest I think that price is probably a typo and it's supposed to be £3,995.

I agree^^ 3995 more likely. considering what a mint 1600E is now worth, not out of the way at all, and it looks like its had a bucket of money thrown at it

Proving there's one born every minute, this was mentioned in Vin's 900T resto thread. Estimate was for 6-9k euros, which consensus here figured was a bit steep.

Well, the results are in. It sold for...

€15,500 (well, technically €17,825, if you include the buyer's premium).

Still, it's cheap compared to this:

A regular 300C? Not even slightly. If you will, a regular 300C, once LEASED by DERPREZEDENTOFDESEUNYTEDSTAYTES, Barack Obama, no less (when he wasn't actually president).

And the starting price for all this historic-ness? A bargain $1 MILLION.

Best of luck with that.

The eBay thread does this sometimes then the problem clears itself for a while.

GS Club £3995

No, this is definitely the right place for the GS; note the additional 'trim' stuck to the bottom of the doors and wings to hide the rot

 Bah! Didn't notice anything myself.

I suppose getting it photographed in a proper studio adds a few phantom thousand pounds to the price. :(

Now that is brilliant! I've never seen a car with it's dials trimmed the same colour as the seats before!

I don't care if this Corolla does only have 4800 miles on it, and a recent cambelt (does that mean it needs a belt every 4800 miles from now on? ); starting bid £4,500. Away and chase yersel'.

The vehicle is being sold due to illness

presumably some sort of norovirus caught off the steering wheel of the filthy beast!

What is the top end (oo-er) on a Maxi these days?

Concours ones have got to be worth close to £2k now. That blue one's nice, not quite £3k nice though. I bet the Doctor could get that for it if it had the correct 'provenance'.

About 80MPH I fink. :D

I'm starting to get worryingly objective about the price of low mileage shite. I figured that, seeing as that's essentially in 1990 condition, and roughly the right price for a five year old Renner back then, it would make sound economic sense to buy and run that as a daily for the next five years. By which time it will probably resemble the average ten year old French tin - or life-expired in other words

Why bother with fancy alloy wheels and brand name tyres when you can have this collection of Wankking/Superstar Conference/Akito Mingebag STD/Jonling Meow tyred old steels that have been in this fella's garden for 11 years?

What a spazz. If krispy old steels with rubbish tyres are worth £12.50 each I must have at least £87.50's worth under a tree in my back garden.

Take one set of second hand Alfa 156 seats and weld them to a steel frame then flog them on ebay for £1495!

I'd buy them, take the stupid frames off and put them back in an Alfa 156. Or just not bother.

No, I'd take my £1495 to the owners house, fan it out in front of him and then walk outside, taunting him with calls of "You're not having my £1495" for the rest of the day.

 I'm still hunting for navy blue front seats hence me finding this, Been quoted £250 for a pair so far, I don't think so.
