'The blue 'Merde' is going through Barons auctions, where it will be lucky to get up to £1500, due to all the hidden rust on it' EFA :P

"This vehicle is believed to be 1 of 69 Astra GTE 1.8 left in the World (facts from howmanyleft)"

Right.

To be fair, it was known as a Kadett GTE in the rest of the world.

I wouldn't mind a mini, but not at that price.

Some people seem to think there is some kind of retro boom on.

We'll I've got news, there fucking isn't.

I had one of these, and rignt enough, it was a brilliant wee thing, one of the best cars I ever had. But 3 and a half bags? He can H949 FRO for that sort of money.

That Gta is identical to the one I had. Blistering wee car but  three and a half is just funny.

I was just curious to know what the most expensive audio cassette was and found some automobilia.

Well Trigger, I thought you had oversold the level of mentalness on those seatbelts but I was wrong.

Considering I have been on two fairly awful internal flights in the US today I thought that nothing could approach the levels of lunacy on display there but that auction beats it all.

What i driving the price up that much, I know the old Fords have gone mad, especially the Escrots but GBP 1330?   Are people entering them at Pebble Beach now?

Somehow I don't think I would be happy with spending only 13 quid on unsecured postage...

I'd rather pay £16k for that Transit than £20k for a VW*.

Least you can drive that one with the doors open.

*Not that I'd buy either...

Only if it had a Pair of New Gen Boxed Inertia Seats Belts.

It's an oddball spec that Tranny van too, sliding cab door, and slam door/side loading door on the n/s, and it does look like someone went overboard with the varnish on the timberwork in the back. I wonder what Fred would think of it?

Posted

Never noticed the non slider on the ns of that Tranny, good spot.

Indeed a strange spec, didn't the single wheel early models have a 1700 cc motor instead or have i got me knickers on back to front again.

Never liked the single wheel, but the twin wheeler petrol panel van could outcorner a real Mini, i drove one like an idiot for many thousands of miles.
