ebay 'BARGAINS'

Took me ages to figure out what it was. At first I thought is was a desk in a vestibule.

"This was donated to Edgmond Village Shotokan Karate Club to raise funds to buy more equipment for our ever increasing Pee Wee class"

Seems like the thing you do.

im going to ask him loads of questions about the condition

And rightfully so, since many points are very unclear. I seriously wonder whether all Bentley trained engineers are so vague.

Just had:-

Full service

Comprising what?

New bushes

Which ones? And why?

Mostly original condition

Except for?

No major rust issues.

And which minor ones?

Comprehensive and big history files by previous owners - £1000's spent

On what? If it is just on regular maintenance, this is to be expected and goes without saying.

Brand new tyres, with no more than 1000 miles of use.

The term 'brand new' denotes no use at all, so by definition they aren't. They are used.

Uprated clutch and gearbox

Uprated with what? And why?

Genuine 108K on clock.

And on the car? I find 108k quite excessive for a concourse car.

Multi - electrode spark plugs.

No self-respected automotive engineer would ever fit those, unless they are specified by the manufacturer.

New battery.

Considering what was said regarding the tyres, I take this with a grain of salt.

Immaculate bodywork, there are a few marks

The term 'immaculate' implies there are no marks, so by definition it is not immaculate.

but for 18 years old you will not find a better one.

I bet you anything, there are quite a few honestly low-mileage OAP owned 18 year old vehicles out there, which are oodles better and a lot less tinkered with. For a real classic car enthusiast, an 18 year old motor isn't more than a fairly new used car on a good day. This thing shouldn't have been listed in the Classic Car section at all.

Immaculate (No burn holes or tears) interior with cream leather.

As "immaculate" as the bodywork? The pic of the driver's seat shows it is far from immaculate, especillay when seen with the eyes of someone having been around Bentleys.

it is a condition 1 car

It is as far away from being a condition 1 car as the seller is from reality.

Looking at the pics, it's very obviously a condition 3-4 car and will likely turn into condition 5 on closer inspection.

Not a car, but a part...

$T2eC16V,!)!E9s2fB+b7BR1IqJLiR!~~60_58.G

A fuel filler neck for a Rover 800. One if these surpringly sold for something like £150 a couple of years ago, now because people have realised how rare these parts are have started to drive prices through the roof. This donkey feltcher wants no less than £225 a for some metal piping. Fuck off, I could get one refurbed or made up for half the price.

Loving the mild threats in the Carlton advert.... "if they don't sell they will be no more". THE HORROR!!!11

At a BIN of £10,000, I'll keep an eye out for them on the banger circuit (although they'd probably refuse the GSI as it's too far gone).

N/A 220 coop:

Stupid question amnesty, please: Do these have the OMGHGF engines?

Nope, the 2l models have the T-series engines, rather than the K-series.

People do pay stupid prices. Seem to recall a set of wind deflectors made £70 or something on Ebay for a BX - you can buy them brand new for £14 a pair!

I don't hate that 8 series other than the spoiler and the tints. It's a bit different init and you can always peel it off.

This is a lie though

it is an almost exact replica of BMW's ART CAR which raced at the LE MANS 24 hour race in 2010 designed by the french artist Jeff Knoons.

I can only assume that, in light of flooded market conditions for Trotterised Reliant Rialtos etc, this is the new way forward for the man who wants a zany classic...

This £2,500 Mini is, miraculously, still for sale despite the motor trader's generous offer of:

CAN MOT IF NEEDED

Oh yeah, I guess you could do that. It might come in handy for, I don't know, driving it home or something.

Naturally, what else did you expect from someone who thinks a car looks good like that?

Autobahn Police? LOL

£24,000? ROFLOLMFAO

"a real crowd puller, you will indeed become famous overnight on the VW scene!"

This quote alone is enough to convince* me that this contraption is worth 10K more than, say, an SM !

I drove past the showroom this car is at today and actually thought I was imagining things. I wasn't, it IS £14,000.

14 large for a 4-dr LHD escort? What a cockhouse. He'll have paid 1500€ for that.
