Pillock Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 He seems to base that price on it not being dirty, and having opening quarterlights. I nearly bought one just as clean, but kitted out as a minibus, for £1800..... then I realised that's just short of two grand to travel at a snails pace with a deafening noise behind you. I love 'em, but I'd never pay for one.
Milford Cubicle Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I remember my dad selling his various T25s for pennies, if only he'd held onto them until now, he'd be a millionaire.
GJR 11L Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 THIS IS A VW T25 2.0CC WITH A AIRCOOLED ENGINE Eh? Why do people do that? Maybe it really is propelled by one of these:
wuvvum Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I've never found T25s to be that noisy to be honest, at least not minibus / camper versions - the engine is that far back that the noise level isn't too bad up front. The 78PS versions go adequately well too, and the 2.1 injection goes like poo off a spade. I'd much rather have one of these than a T2, but I wouldn't pay more than about £700 for one.
maxpower Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 there is a "m" reg caravelle round the corner from me for sale @£700 onofuck buy a jigsaw and cut windows in the panels and save yourself 6 grand!and its refrigerated

trigger Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 1983 Vauxhall Cavalier 1.8 SRi Is a Mk 2 Cav really worth £3500 now?.
Espacetic Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 £3.5k? Only 27 early SRi's left? wish I'd kept the one I sold to Cavette now
Cavcraft Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 It's not worth that at all and it's been spazzed up with stupid 18 inch alloys, the wrong indicators and other shit.Yeah, you could reverse all that but it's still too expensive. That's more than I'd expect to see a better 130 or Calibre go for to be honest and they are both more desirable cars.Espatic: excuse my extreme dimness but only just worked out who you are!
Richard Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Is a Mk 2 Cav really worth £3500 now?.No. Take off a zero, and another zero, then a five and you might be getting close- if it was a minter and there was £3 worth of change down the back of the seats.

trigger Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 1976 Ford Cortina 1600 L Estate Very nice looking Cortina, Like it's driving stright out of 1977 but it's not worth £5250.
Richard Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 That looks like the paint's barely dry on it. I bet a lot of rust will break through within a couple of years.
DCLane Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Nice Ford Escort and only 1520 miles. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1984-FORD-ESCORT-GL-GREEN_W0QQitemZ320513196168 But £3995

Rocket88 Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Hmmmmmmmmmmm. If you read the speil, they seem to have replaced most of the bits and pieces that would suffer in a high mileage job. Be interesting to see if he has any of the old MOTs. On that subject, with MOTs now computerised, it would be a great help to the motoring public if there was a way of viewing them on line. You could then check stuff like orevious mileage, fail sheets, etc.Not that it's ever going to happen of course.........
Pete-M Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 My Rover has only been MOT'd on the computerised system twice, and both times the mileage was the same as it was MOT'd at the place it was stored....
meggersdog Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 you can also check the history using the document reference number on the V5
richardthestag Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Original Range Rover = 40 years old this year Cue massive scene tax CSK Range rover v8 2 door very rare maybe 50 left Errr sorry but that is a Godiva short of 7 large for a tatty old CSK with no MOT a Cat D cattle brand and rusty sills And theres more Range Rover 2 door 1972 suffix A Too many noughts on the start price I reckon. When these things look this tatty on the outside they are normally held together with fresh air.
Cavcraft Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 http://retrorides.proboards.com/index.c ... read=79017 How much?
dollywobbler Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Aye. I'd never pay more than a tenth of that for a Mk2 Golf, but it is beautifully done. I like modifying when it's done well. I love the wicker glove box!
lancashireclamper Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GOTHIC-HEARSE-LIM ... 3cac19c5d9 GOTHIC HEARSE LIMOUSINE BUSINESS. UNIQUE IN THE UK. Station Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Some, ahem, 'retro' rear shelf speakers: Pye speakers. I've got the exact same set in my car! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RETRO-STYLE-vintage-PYE-japan-AUTO-stereo-car-SPEAKERS_W0QQitemZ260586145778QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Audio_TV_Electronics_In_Car_Entertainment_GPS_Car_Speakers_PP?hash=item3cac2507f2
Richard Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 http://retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=FSW&action=display&thread=79017How much?I expected this to be horrible when I clicked but it isn't. I would never have believed that sort of styling could work on an 80s car. No door mirrors though, which is illegal and could make things "interesting", especially on a left hooker.
Cavcraft Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Maybe not horrible but seems a huge amount for an old Golf.
