Including a minibus*

For ants?

I like the look of them mind. A van would be good if youre a (Bonsai) tree surgeon.

The internet informs us that the running gear comes from Suzuki... just like in the new Caterham

I love the ironic styling of the front, but can't imagine anyone actually buying one. They may cost 2/3 of the price of a Bipper but depreciation must be eye-watering.

One of those would be a much better option and Autoshite-approved :

On the subject of these wee vans, van anyone tell me why they and the Bedford equivalent get called 'Sooty vans'?

Mathew Corbert had a camper version in Sooty?

Borrowed unladen Rascal vans with borderline bald tyres r gr9 4 drift yo!

Don't ask me how I know :-)

As for this new shite, I can't believe BMW's lawyers have let this go on sale in europe despite the chineese motor industry ripping it off wholesale at home.

I think these will struggle to be honest, as the prices don't seem that keen. I passed a main dealer the other day who had a brand new Berlingo outside for £7,995. Ok, that's a van not a pick-up, but the price is the same.

Theres one running about around here somewhere that (inevitably) has had a BMW badge stuck on the front...

Here too, could be the same white one, you're not far away from The Dales.

They've been selling fairly well in Thailand for the last few years. I had a poke around this one while my Volvo Guru was working his magic on my 850:

There's a variety of front end treatments available for different grades of BMW-looky-likeness.

I really don't mind it, providing it was reliable. If I was running a small business that required a van, I'd look in to it. I'd put a funky logo on it, and badge it as a beemer like those jokers who badge their Chrysler 300 s as Bentleys. This van looks memorable at least.

There are a few around here but never knew what they were. Surprised BMW's lawyers haven't had words about that grille

If the amount I've seen around here are anything to go by, they seem to be getting very popular with the jiffy truck butty van type conversion folk.

Whether they'll last longer than the sandwiches they're carrying...

They're all over Cyprus too.  I also had a giggle over the thought of the BMW legal-protection office seeing them, but if they're being launched over here now, obviously nothing's been enforced.  I haven't driven one, but I can imagine them being very handy in city centres.  My mate used to drive for a florist (he may still, I haven't seen him since before we left the country) and they had a fleet of Suzuki vans which were ideal.

And as if by magic...

I SAW ONE TODAY! Right by Llynclys crossroads, just past Oswestry. It had a sticker down the side saying 'Gwynedd....' (I didn't catch the rest as I was driving) so possibly could have been a council vehicle as it was white.

You've moved the steering wheel and nicked the alloys and front fogs! I'm not going back to your garage.
