That's when I joined and there were regular chats about Maxis, Renault 14's and retro Italian car chase scenes. Plus I bought several awesome Fiat owners manuals from Fiatdaft which I still enjoy.

I miss Pog a little bit, despite the fact I've never met the bloke. We also have random comments on each other's facebooks which is even weirder.

Apparently we're both going to a mutual friends' party at the weekend. I'm a little bit nervous about meeting him. Sort of like shite-dating. But without the dating, natch.

Mouseflakes is still about, just not posting as much as he used to.  It was him who brought me to this forum, when he emailed me after seeing my eBay username as a bidder on a large number of shite vehicles.  Back in the old days when you could still see bidders' usernames.  26th November 2006 I joined.

I only joined November 2008 yet I have the 3rd highest post count, I'm one sad bastard! I used to come on here just to read and browse the threads after finding the forum via a link over on Retro Rides, then one day someone posted a car I was selling over on the Ebay thread so I signed up and commented and then couldn't leave, even though I've thought about it a few times, normally after some childish dummy spitting on my part. 

 

Both the Stondon and Shitefestâ„¢ meets were bloody good meets and all the lads I've meet off here have been diamond geezers, probably why I've hanged around so long.

 

Oh and 55bloke is the longest serving regular having joined on the 14th Jan 2006, a full 4 days before Mr_Bo11ox!

I don't know when I joined but I just slipped off the radar for a while after copping a pretty fair amount of shit off one or two people. It actually took an unfortunate 'happening' to one of our number for me to come back on (to let people know) and then things sort of calmed down a bit for me.

 

Not much of one for the old 'halcyon days' bit but we certainly have lost some bloody great people on here over the last year or two, but to be fair we've also gained a good few top people too.

Yeah, actually whilst we're all getting misty-eyed over the members departed, it is nice to see quite a few new members "get it" and post some quality stuff. I suppose things just move on. At one point I was a top 10 poster on VZi, hundreds of posts a day.... now, well I think I went on there a couple of times this year. Perhaps just once. Stuff changes, doesn't mean the place gets worse. Just different. 

 

I miss the spammers though. I need a new kitchen and I've got no idea where to buy one from.
