Chat room comes free with forum licence but for 5 members,can have more but its $10 a month for 20 users every 6 months,$20 for 50 users or $40 for 250.

Can't really see the point in it so booting it out cleans the place up a bit. All this fancy stuff after years of just a General Chat section is a bit much. There's still a Gallery and a Calendar.

None of us have the option. "Big Brother" Dave has temporarily removed it, and is gauging whether we want it or not...... It might be a good idea for instant replies about shizz, rather than wait on... someone may have someone's phone number or not read a certain thread, but might be able to help in a breakdown etc..

Anyway, if the chat room is free (for up to 5 users) then why not keep it? Then it's there if we decide we do want to use it.

If we keep it, is it possible to stop it pretending there's a notification that needs clicking? That was the annoying thing about having it. The way it pretended there was something worth looking at.

I would have kept it as it's free and was already there, but if we're not gonna use it anyway why put it back now it's not there?

 

It seems a bit of an annoying setup, being in a different window, 5 users, 'XXX has joined/left the room' and all that. The chat facility on M-S does work well, but that is a different format. If it was like the AS chat room, it would not work.
