Yes.... certain mongs on the FB page have decided to migrate over from CCSF... but the obvious ones are rejected if I know they are spamming trolls on that page. As for yesterday's sport.... I had people berating me for not pulling the image quickly enough. I had someone offering to be admin as well, supporting me. All in all I removed the image about 40 minutes after posting, and did not ban the user. That act alone got other peoples' hackles up, because apparently it should have been an instant ban! The OP apologised, stating why he did it. Fair enough. I ain't judge, jury and executioner. The biggest thing I have is the sheer amount of people wanting to join the page. I take a look at every profile before accepting them, and if they look like a spamming 'tard, I reject them. If there's a million pictures of Renault 16 door handles, then they're in.

Thing is though, (& playing devil's advocate for a moment) when he wasn't being a dick and deliberately winding people up, he had views, opinions & enthusiasms that were little different to many of us on the FB page and on here.

Is it really worth me moving nearly 30000 photos across from Flickr to Ipernity?, I've noticeably seen my view count drop dramatically since the changes and I hate the new homepage and it's very slow to use now but I don't really want to have to change even though i have set up a new account.

I'm moving all my stuff over bit by bit, but i'll be keeping Flickr "live".....I'll just not add anything new to Flickr, New stuff will go straight to Ipernity.

Flickr now offers 1TB of free storage, which should mean that all my photos stay up for people to view, as a "library".

How do I stop AS group posts appearing in my main "feed" thing? I've switched off notifications in the top right but that hasn't really achieved anything. Don't massively want to leave the group but most posts are quite boring and clutter my front page.

On your home page, click the padlock icon on the blue bar and then 'more settings'

Go to 'notifications' and click 'group activity' 'edit' and click on the tab for Autoshite, and you'll see settings for 'all' 'friends' posts only' and 'off'.

I wouldn't bother.

Flickr was good but they've totally fucked it up so I've given up actively using it, although it's still a useful online backup.

You can get a lot (5Gb) onto a free Google account using Picasa, and when one fills up you just open another (free) account using a different e-mail address.

I'm with BT so I've never paid for Flickr, I like the fact it's like a online community so people interact with your photos and it's generally not full of helmets like most other places.

I pay google £8 a year to spy and store 20gb of storage from me. Keep it all there, and it links nicely to all the forums I use. Haven't got to use that here now either.

 

Got an 80gb dropbox (by syncing about a gazillion devices to it then cancelling the sync) but it won't link to forums so it lies dormant for now!

Haven't flickr just made it free to uploaded unlimited photos? It's no longer saying GO PRO!!!!!111 (be a hero) everywhere on the site and I do remember reading somewhere that they made this change recently...

 

And likewise, I'm not a fan of the new format. Daft "mobile friendly" vibe that is infiltrating everything these days to my irritation. Can't wait for the rumoured new facebook appearance.
