Looks a nice little rideout, I miss the days I had the time for such things. Really must finish rebuilding this house so I can go away & not live in it as much!

BM has been running like shit due to water getting into the tank. I need to overhaul things like the drain tube, submersible petrol hose, etc., but as a stop gap I decided a hat was the way forward.

That'll do for now, I'm feeling peckish.

Financial belt tightening means I may have to look into replacing the MZ 250 with something more economical, possibly scooterish, any thoughts?

60mpg is the most you can get, plus oil,and I do 125 miles a week going to work (can't afford to go anywhere else)

Does Anyone have a road legal bike they fancy swapping with perhaps a couple of hundred quid their way for the Novio moped of mine?

Runs rides and MOT'd also tax exempt.

I just want something light as a winter hack

The MZ seems to share a lot of parts with the JAWA. Here's my old 350, I wish I hadn't sold it :(

That shade of blue looks exactly like the blue Acrybre Products supplied my Wedge MkV fairing in. Do you know if it's one of theirs? Do you know what the indicators are from?

I once spent ages as I was riding round London (well about 3 weeks on and off - it was pre-internet) wondering about a replacement indicator/side light on my Rickman Trident fairing.

Turns out it was a Cibie unit from an R4, so bought a new lens c/w gasket/screws for just over a fiver at the main stealer in N22. They also had an immaculate R4 on a Y-plate that had £2999 in the windscreen - an unusual sight even in the late 90s.

It is indeed an Acrybre fairing,I've got a copy of the instructions that a guy who has had his from new in 91 sent me. Acrybre were swallowed up by skidmarx and have thrown out all the moulds, they still list some replacement screens but wether any are right for mine I don't know

Well there can't be much of a demand for the melted bus shelter look. :D I knew Skidmarx bagged the sell-off gear.

I think the indicators on the Wedge were upside-down Vespa T5 rears.

I've had several MZ's and 1 (one) Jawa I can assure you there is no interchangability between them, either hardware or the feeling that someone actually cared when it was designed/built.

Something broke on my Xevo 400. I've done over 6000 trouble free miles since I've had it (only a front tyre puncture has stopped me doing more miles).

Not sure how many miles ago this started, but noticed a bolt missing from the large lump that the exhaust hangs from, and then the wobbly rear wheel. I'll be buying a lottery ticket later.

Plans are a gentle restoration over the winter then either sell it on at massive profit or give it to my dad to potter around on in the summer, I've already spent multiples of the purchase price on bits and pieces but it runs, the engine is nothing more than a rustle when running and I'm very impressed with it so far, its only done 3000 miles so just run in.

They are great bikes and fly for a 600, I had one in the 90's and it was a proper motorcycle, all day comfy too, yours looks in very good condition for something that is 20 years old.
