mk1_4dr
This past Sunday was the chosen date for the rescheduled Uttoexeter racecourse show. Its run by the same folks that do Cholmondeley, so we knew to expect shonky organisation and a laughable compare. We weren't disappointed, in the best possible way. I didn't take many shots, partly because my time was taken up shooting the breeze and having a bloody good laugh, also, as discussed there, my camera is on its way out I think and is becoming an arse to focus properly. Anyroad, enough excuses, time for pictures. Firstly, most Autoshite-st car on display, and it wasn't even with us! Gorgeous Mk1 This mk1 Cortina was so clean that my camera was having issues capturing it in all its glory WAT had a decent look around this There was 2 six-banger MGB's there (does that make them MGCs?) Super clean Acclaim Princess R wasn't immaculate, but very nice none-the-less I couldn't for the life of me get even a partway decent shot of this Mazda LOLZ Buick was nice, bit early to tickle my wick, but nice. This, however, was buttering my parsnips Very imposing James and I spotted this in the Tesco carpark as we waited for the others to arrive. Oh deary, deary me. Equally awful 'Alfa' rep Again, this was beautiful. Hidden behind the building James had a poke around this obviously loved example. i only took this pic for the pretty little creature on the right... IAM THE PERV OF THE NORTH No airride, No likey I would love one of these. They'll never be in my pricebracket though Arrow Hunter wasn't as clean as it first appeared GRIM! Unusual wheel and whiteband combo suited it well. Mint, but dumply styled, Vauxhall Box fresh It was a triumph-fest to a certain extent Again, showroom condition seemed to be state of the few of the entries... Horrifically abused Pontiac. hubba, hubba, im not usually a Jag man, but this was NICE Without question my car of the show. C3 'vette sounded well, though i think the idle was abit high judging how it 'thunked' into gear. 14SR was more than tidy. Check the trims and the rear arches! Beautiful Austin, just as it should be. And finally, this was too fugly to not be captured. So, all in all a cracking day. The show itself was a spot small, hindered by a 3rd of the cars heading for the exit at the first glimpse of a dark cloud, but it was still bloody good to meet up with A/S folk to have a laugh. Roll on Cholmondeley in May.
Cavcraft
Good stuff Dave, cheers for sharing. The Nova and the Vauxhall estate float my battleship big time, and if the 6 pot MGs were the real deal then they should be MGCs as you said. Pretty sure they shared the same engine as the Austin 3-litre, i.e the 'C series' lump.

Pete-M
That Victor estate is a Vauxhall I'd be happy to own. Twas my car of the show. The 'vette sounded like it was still in it's original 4 bhp highly strangled spec to me. Sounded very soft for a V8.
vulgalour
well crap, that looked like a good day out and I missed out entirely. Maybe I'll get to the next shite meet to make up for it.
davidfowler2000
That minty fresh Acclaim is something else. I love the wee flap to the right of the steering wheel labelled "Coin" for it is illegal to use said compartment hole for anything other than coin. Conrad D. Conelrad
That minty fresh Acclaim is something else. I love the wee flap to the right of the steering wheel labelled "Coin" for it is illegal to use said compartment hole for anything other than coin. There were two beige Acclaims. Here's the other: I also got an action snap of that wonderful Herald:

Guest
Some farty lens flair on your camera there, Dave. Good to see your new wagon too. Oh, and you've captured shambolic art girl twice - I'm glad I wasn't the only person who noticed her milling around. A good day out all in all, despite the gate staff being nob-ends and that cumfart who carried on sifting through a box of tools on the autojumble during the two minute silence. I would post up some shots I got off the Praktica L that Cheggers sent - but despite trying everything, I think the CD the photo place gave me is blank. Luckily for Leonard there are no complete pictures of cars anywhere to be found. With that in mind, here's a pointlessly moody shot of my 460 when it began to piss down. Guest
After farting around a bit with the machines in the house, I managed to get one of them to read the CD I'd been given. 3 shots sort of came out, but I don't know what I was expecting from an unknown Praktica camera with a stiff lens and some expired Mitsubishi film from 2001. And a weird triple exposure cock up to finish on.
