I do think that the Royale / Senator of this age is very probably the best looking big saloon car of the late 70s / early '80s. Only on these wheels though.

Here's where we spent a weekend a few weeks ago, at a local freedom camping spot, maintained by the local council. About a 20 minute drive from work or 45-50 minutes from home, hence two cars as Mrs_Jon came straight from work.

Normally the backdrop here would be quite something, as it's the top of the Kirkstone Pass where it meets the Struggle in Cumbria, but it's not...

 

But if you look the other way on a clearer day it's a bit more like this...

 

This is my commute, which I do enjoy, a lot...

 

Sometimes it's more fun to get into the scenery though!

 

Some are best kept out of it though!

 

Not easy to get 3 1960s Austins into a shipyard...
