I do think that the Royale / Senator of this age is very probably the best looking big saloon car of the late 70s / early '80s. Only on these wheels though.

I'm including the XJ6 series 3, BMW 5 series etc in this.

Here's where we spent a weekend a few weeks ago, at a local freedom camping spot, maintained by the local council. About a 20 minute drive from work or 45-50 minutes from home, hence two cars as Mrs_Jon came straight from work.

Although actually it's obscuring much of the scenery

Normally the backdrop here would be quite something, as it's the top of the Kirkstone Pass where it meets the Struggle in Cumbria, but it's not...

But if you look the other way on a clearer day it's a bit more like this...

This is my commute, which I do enjoy, a lot...

Sometimes it's more fun to get into the scenery though!

Some are best kept out of it though!

Not easy to get 3 1960s Austins into a shipyard...

SWAP FOR 940 ESTATE 2NITE M8?

S70 DIZZLER GONE LONG AGO M8 BUT WOULD TAKE 940 PLUS A MONKEY 4 C70 2NITE M8

In all seriousness, I might punt it on later this year. T5 on gas. Scrumptious.

Had the Landy out in Cumbria today. Road tyres, lack of 4wd currently and hot ignition components this far up meant I had to take photos whilst it cooled down enough to start again. Could be scenic...

Now here's my old Mondeo - 165,000 miles and never put a foot wrong.

Oh, and the view is somewhere near Roses on the Catalunyan coast
