'tis a 16ft Soda Blast System with a ruddy great clean air Ingersoll Rand compressor on the back - thumps out a huge PSI and stupid amounts of cfm - you could run 2 pneumatic drills off it. Has 100 meters of hose as well as 100 mts of operator air feed hose - this baby eats 25kg of Soda an hour and a fivers worth of (pump) diesel.

 

Will take any blasting media you care to put into it.

 

effortless paint removal for cars etc and shitter's rates apply!

There is an excellent chap in NW Wales.

 

There is quite a difference between different types of soda blaster - from the wee ones on ebay to this baby (this is just a file pic, my one is even bigger (fnarr fnarr)) - apparently (I am still learning all this) sodium bicarbonate needs high cfm and the media is mixed with the air in the pot and not at the nozzle.

 

Will need a decent truck to tow this and rather a lot of protective clothing - much of the work will be insurance clean ups - flood damage, smoke damage etc. stuck in the eves of a roof etc hence the forced air - decent blasting helmets come in at £200 and you need special overalls - the halfrauds specials don't keep the media out and you'll be picking ground walnut shells out of your jap's eye for the next 6 months!

really useful this - blasting kit costs a flippin packet - no point in having a cheap uncomfortable helmet as you just end up losing money through time lost sweating and swearing!

I was chatting with Torsten yesterday and he asked me if I could go onto Autoshite to see if anyone wants to buy a Vectra for scrap money. He doesn't come on anymore because he got fed up with the grief some folk hand out.

 

I told him that I hadn't been on Autoshite since early July because I also got fed up.

 

good to see nothing's changed then - autoshite, where folk treat each other like shite.
