Being a twat , i thought it would look much better with a spoiler .. so  i drilled 5 holes in the tailgate and ruined its originality   more or less "1 elderly owner" , although she wouldnt have been so elderly when she bought it new !

Any Northeast based shiter's able to collect my Daimler from Sunderland,it will need collecting due to a stuck float or knackered carb as it is pissing fuel. I may even have a carb rebuild kit,need to check.

 

Repair what ever is needed and MOT it. Then it will be going for some paint,and probably for sale  as my storage is going up for sale.

Any one want my Ford Zetec SE 1.6 16 valve 50k mile mk5 Fiesta engine. The cam belt tensioner let go so head is off, damage is some bent exhaust valves but pistons look ok. I think the inlet manifold + injectors and exhaust manifold etc are with it.  A slight possibility the semiauto gearbox and its ECU are there as well. Somewhere near GU2 7XH

jeepers! Really that much? If I had known that I would have been much more careful getting mine off. It's not that hard to clean the back off and repaint them, easier than spending £60 anyway!

No they all seem pretty much the same apart from a couple of lilac coloured ones for some reason!

mine is an 83 and they are lighter than the new ones, no idea when they changed though.

I just looked again and 4 are a shade lighter I suppose but not massively different

I'm just about to hit the 'bay as I've got a seriously noisy alternator bearing, but before I do I thought I'd check here.

 

a) Does anyone have an alternator they'd be willing to sell?

 

b ) Will it fit my '98 Vitesse? Rimmers list different models for 2.0 engines with and without air-con, but I'm not sure what the difference is (mine has air-con, but currently non-op)

 

To sweeten the deal (so you don't have to worry about the faff of boxing up a dirty 5kg lump of metal), if it's located somewhere roughly along the route of Manchester to Basingstoke (either the M5 or M6 around Birmingham, I'm not picky) I can collect it Thursday evening. If it's somewhere close to Manchester or Basingstoke, I can collect any time.
