I dare say there are folks who'd choke on their own beards when they saw that, but I doubt you'll find any in here, that looks fugging ace! 8)

p.s. the title talks of picS (plural)...MOARPLZ!!

Note: small boy in yellow t shirt trying to hide in the back of a blue car from the big funny green car.

It's trying to eat me!

Utterly wonderfully bonkers car. Want one!

My thoughts exactly.

Sorry to say it but that is horrid and as yet I have no beard. They weren't exactly pretty cars but the green does nothing for it. Some custom jobs look good but this ain't one of them in my opinion, but hey what do I know I own a beige renault 14

To be brutally honest I'm not overly keen on it myself and I've seen it in the flesh, It looks great from the front and half way up the side but that rear end is nasty, That said if we all liked the same things it would be a very boring world and if you like it Colc then it's alright by me. :D

arglebarglebargle*

*still picking my jaw up from the floor, sorry I couldn't be more coherent.

Blimey!!

Mash in "I like modified old car but others that I thought would like it don't" shocker!!!

Posted

I have also seen it in the metal, having poked around it at a classic auction (where it didn't sell) and I still can't make up my mind about it.

I don't think that photo does justice to the immense green-ness of the thing.

I am glad it exists, even if my boat remains unfloated. :-)

The fact that it will hoon along at 80 mph plus seems to freak out most people, especially the Bini pilot that got an awful shock when he tried to pull into a non existant gap......................

Colin -that is ace. Mad as a box of frogs . yes there are uncomfortable asoects- but the overall pic is just mental. I hope its as much fun as it looks.

Well I think that is just fugging amazing! It is so off the scale that new scalemakers have been called in :D

Posted

Well I've already come out in favour, which is just as well as, guess what, I can't access the pics. Fortunately I've seen it in the magazine ads and can readily believe it to be a bucket of fun. Ten million extra bonus points for seeing off a BINI (spit). And yes, it does look like it belongs in Gotham City. Best of luck with it Col, enjoy!

Very pissed off, After being assured [before I bought it] that our local equivalent of DVLA would register this, the nice man down there has told me it exceeds their version of the "originality" points scoring system. The fact that's it's been through 4 MOT tests without a problem is, apparently, of no consequence.

So, I'm going to have the ballache of trying to sell it. I know it's not really an Autoshite "cup of tea", but if anyone's interested, PM me. I'll do a p/x or swap with something, classic or modern, but offers of a 3 pot Corsa, 83p, and a packet of Werthers will probably not, in my current mood, go down well.

Car is in Jersey, has 11 months tax / MOT, and I'll travel for the right deal,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

All I have to offer as a swap is a citroen xm estate in 150bhp form. 10 months mot and 4 of tax. Mind you wife would kill me.

That's a bit harsh, and smacks a little of the euro-fascism the ace crowd were getting us all worked up about. Has it been rejected on a paperwork application or has it been inspected, is there no avenue of appeal?

Posted

Wish I had the cojones/cash to buy it... other than the seats it is pretty much perfect. Can't you argue that it will attract tourists to Jersey?

Posted

Cant you register it to an address in the mainland and return every year to mot it?

It's an option, but Jersey being such a small place, if plod see it being used regularly, I'm going to get tugged, and told to register it [unlikely to happen] or stop using it.

So it can't be registered at all? It's not even my bloody car and I'm pissed off about this.

Exactly what is being achieved by preventing the registration of this car?

A DVS official gets to tug one out over an Excel spreadsheet by refusing to register it.
