Have you seen any early Protons recently?

Well I thought I should do this thread instead of doing "Have you seen any G reg Protons recently" or something like that. Trigger suggested this to me thank you Trigger. We are talking about F-P reg Protons in this thread.

No. Still haven't. Maybe try again next week with another new thread asking the same question?*

*Not really.

Look, we're now all more than aware of your interest. If we spot a Proton, I promise you'll be the first to know.

If you're a newbie then welcome to the site, please calm down and relax: I commend to you the perennial Grumpy Old Man thread ("You never see any old Protons any more"), What Makes You Grin thread ("I saw an old Proton the other day and it made me happy") or Stupid Question Amnesty thread ("I'm looking for a right-handed doobryfirkin for my 1990 Proton and can't find one, can I use a left-handed one upside down?"). You'll find people warm and responsive.

If, however, you're just a troll who gets off on creating endless new threads which add no new content, then fuck off.

It's getting harder and harder to tell which you are, to be honest.

I actually meant edit the last Proton thread and not start a new one! as you can see, if you keep posting new threads and posting short posts repeatedly you start to annoy people, just chill out a little and you'll be fine.

or we'll set skizzer on you

do you think we could hammer a smaller proton thread over the top of this one?

Won't be a Proton, unless it's a personal plate. It'll probably be a Mitsubishi Lancer.

Not seen any Protons, but did spot a Proton dealership in Smethwick this afternoon.

None of those Protons have survived sadly.

I should probably leave this one here....

Proton-vi.jpg

It's definitely dead. Murdered in 2002 in a deadly collaboration between a Chrysler Neon and Direct Liars. Mrs R loved her 1.3MPI, in fact even I did. It was a brilliant car, low-mileage (suspect ex-giffer), comfy, reliable, happy in town or on the motorway. We would probably have kept it right up to leaving UK.
