After getting my 1:43 models on display a couple of weeks ago, I decided to start searching for more models. Mk1 Granada estates and mk4 Cortina estates are available but ridiculous money, my search eventually led me to Jumajo in France who had a selection of nice models at sensible prices so I decided to order a few and they arrived today!

Mucho excitement!

I am very impressed with Jumajo, I had daily updates of the models journey and a very accurate arrival date. Nice models at a good price compared to Vanguards etc. I clearly made a mistake not checking the scale of the SM. I highly recommend Jumajo and may purchase more in the future as I would love to modify some to look like my real cars. If I could make miniature numberplates and move the steering wheel to the correct side they would be even more amazing.

Any more pics of the Escort please?

Looking forward to the 132 unwrapping and close-ups

I've been looking to push the button on that gold Taunus Ghia myself. It would go perfectly with my gold Vanguards MK4 Ghia. I've had quite a few Opel models from Jumajo myself and have nothing but good things to say about them.

I’d love to display some decent models but I’ve got a four year old car enthusiast in the house, so we settle for a shelf full of Matchboxes in her room for now.

Snowing, can't do anything to my projects - spent a few hours scanning and cropping the 1975 Dinky catalogue. Doesn't seem to be a lot here we haven't seen before, other than the emergence of the re-designed Transit

I seem over the years to have had most of those late 70’s Dinkies but few of them appealed in the long term unlike the Corgis. I probably picked them up at the height of the ‘anything Dinky is worth a place at Sothebys’. Probably for me the most fascinating are the Convoy series of generic trucks, a sort of last stab at trying to make the concept work at a time when Dinky was seen as old hat.

I think I have much of that Dinky catalogure cut-out and stuck into a scrapbook from when I was young.

Hell's bells... now there's a selection to make the bank manager quake!

I'm only about five pages into Jumajo's eBay shop and I'm already watching about twice my annual salary in diecast...

I've got just four inserts left from my childhood one!  Never knew which year - until now...

Funny you should mention, as a Convoy was seen out and about earlier, picking up a load

I should of said if you are buying more than one item go to their website, it is much cheaper than ebay as postage is combined, hence me getting carried away!

Edited for flat4alfa, no I did not get done for customs, I was a bit concerned this could happen but there was no problem. Jumajo even gave me a 5% discount on checkout.

I am very impressed with the Chevette, the arches look a bit flared but otherwise it is great.

My bank balance is happy to declare that the French part works depository site doesn't post to New Zealand. Lucky escape, as although I often shun modern stuff, there's much to tempt.

More importantly @Shite Ron - nice collection of Hornsea Heirloom in the background. Here's a couple of awful photos of some of ours - please excuse the dust, as they're high up on shelves!

We actually plan on using them as well as displaying them, when we finally get round to a kitchen redesign. All our other Hornsea gets used regularly but we do have over 100 plates, so some of them are used more than others!

I had a look at Jumajo last night - eBay shop - and recoiled in horror at the prices.  Maybe I should go to the website instead.....

Soooo... spent quite a long time last night on the Jumajo webshop.

Even with only selecting models I really, really want (as opposed to ones that are simply very cheap, or variants of ones I already have), we're still looking at €€€... yow.

Postage of €23.10 isn't outrageous for quite a few models though, and it claims that all taxes are included. Having heard horror stories of people being hammered for extra charges by couriers on delivery in the UK, this is of course a concern...

But they are exceedingly tempting.

Out of interest, did they send you a voucher code, or was it applied automatically during the checkout process?

Asking for a friend...

I messaged them on ebay asking if they would combine postage and they replied to say use the website, they also gave a discount code on the ebay reply.

Crikey.  I grew up surrounded by those jars.  Mum might still have them too.  Are they the default* AS jar set?

Yes, I remember seeing those, but only in passing, because I didn't take much notice of the big Bburagos.  Now, of course, I'd love it.

I like that Polistil van.  It is now watch listed.....

In similar age to this Monogram 1:32 Dodge B-series gen-1 model kit that's become rather brittle with age.  It was converted to slot years ago and needs some glue gun shoring-up work now.  The rear axle just broke away...

Should look like this

Pah! Cheap and cheerful kids model kit, you think?  Go look how valuable an unmade one is now...
