Went to a local show, picked up some small stuff from the trade stalls and adjacent boot sale:

Couldn't recall seeing the HW Anglia before.

What's the blue truck?20200831_001040.thumb.jpg.7958ca34e4151bed749fa94e8b193a6f.jpg

The Anglia was only released in a couple of colour schemes so is quite unusual

It's a Majorette item - think it's a fantasy model that just calls itself 'Explorateur' or something, but to my mind it has a bit of Hanomag about it?

Liking that, thought it might be Japanese but the wheels didn't seem right. Not one I recall seeing before

Me neither. Sadly I didn't see any Majorette cars on any of the stalls, but it could have been I didn't look hard enough. There were two people at the boot sale selling just diecasts, plus several others that had a few and we didn't go around all of it. Then there several traders at the show. The boot sale people both had interesting 1:1 transport:

I liked the 105E as it had a bit of National Hot Rod look to it.

That Astra van (Astramax?) is bonkers!

The Anglia was apparently launched as a Harry Potter tie-in which I've never seen

Then this one which you found and I have

image.png.938696cbab73fd57ed3e84caa1887d66.png

Which had a wheel variation

Then this one in a 2011 5-pack which again I've never seen

He bought it unmodified with low miles for £200, it's a petrol auto with a disabled conversion so loads of room in the back. He said he has a Daihatsu Hijet as well.

Two of yesterday's car boot sale finds are these Laser wheeled Matchbox.

Toyota MR2 and Mercury park lane police car.

I think the Mercury is quite interesting as it would have been around since the late 60's,and would have begun it's life as a regular wheels version.

This one dates from 1987.

Yep that Mercury had a long life. 69-87. There are a few changes to the roof light and fuel door (I think) but pretty much the same

It's a Volvo I think.

It's a loose approximation of a Volvo C202 Laplander.

That is an interesting casting.

Nicely done with the tilt cab.

Knew it looked like a Tomica, getting hits on Google as one but here's the packaging

Both the Astra and Hijet are regulars at Mistley Walls.

I had the hump this morning as the mrs wanted to go food shopping, and I wanted to work on the Corgi Rolls Royce.  Still, it worked out well

That one ^ looks very much like a Renault Alpine to me, with hints of 240Z. When I find another it'll be going in the customising box

Just trying to help my aunt clear out her mother in law's attic and come across this. Is this a complete set? Excuse the shitty pictures, it's not very well lit up there.

That Chipperfield set is cool. Bit before my time but I bet it's worth a few quid - but they were released as Corgi Classics too - any clues on the bases?

They're not mint but they're very nice, all the animals seem to be present too. Probably going to advise Auntie to put them on the bay, I don't have enough spare £ to actually give her a reasonable sum.

It's missing several important parts. I can offer £50.

*I don't know if it's missing any parts and it's worth more than £50!?

The mercury was the only laser I ever bought - from WH Smith in Warrington. I remember this because after purchase I legged it to the odeon to watch the living daylights.

The Metro’s are Mothercare - you learn something every day!

I know Early Learning Centre did Matchbox but never the Mothercare story - anybody have anything they can add? I found the following on the web:

Some intriguing  juniors  here - pale blue Capri? And check the BHS Corniche out ?

I think the Chipperfields is Giftset 23 plus some extras, here’s some recent completed listings:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=chipperfields+gift+set&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1

Just like Bunglebus the Metro’s I’ve never seen before! Would they be too late for a M&S/St Micheal gift set?

Thanks for that, I did spend some time looking for their boxes but to no avail. Bit of a shame when the models themselves are in nice nick. Also came across this, with a miniature Graham Hill still in the box too.

Can’t find any pictures but I had the ELC Matchbox Superkings Landrover LWB in a Vetinary Surgeon livery.

Matchbox did some Tesco only releases back in the mid 80’s mostly older castings in a multipack, most notably the MB46 Mercedes 300SE fixed door in silver. I have one in the loft somewhere.
