Sorry everyone, but I've gone and dug out my matching pair of Corgi Sierra's!

I've had these since about the mid 90's from memory. The local Co-op Superstore had them in a reduced to clear box. So had to buy both!

An to balance out yet more Sierra's, here some other Corgi vehicles. Most are recent replacements from my childhood. Except for AA Transit and Renault Traffic, which also came from the same Co-op.

Was thinking of doing another miniature tat clearance. As have more tatty 1:55-1:64 cars here than I'll ever get round to repainting. Will have a sort out over the next few days. Likely be 50p-£1 each.

What is that track they’re sat on?

Mehari is starting to take shape, the orange paint arrived this morning, happy with the results from the airbrush. It's not quite a gloss finish, as these were plastic, I remember them being a somewhat dull finish, so I won't be clearcoating it.

So on to final assembly and detailing.

That AA Transit is really nice and I like those Corgi Sierras with those wheels.

I used to like anything fitted with them or the 4 leaf clover type because I think they were new in the mid 1980s. Most of my Corgis up until then had the more usual web-type wheels.

Thank's, I had quite a few Sierra's and Transits as a kid. But they were all in my giant tatty car box. Which sadly my Mum threw away after we moved. ☹️

I must have had a thing for the clover leaf wheels, as I've found my old VW Polo again. Which as a kid, was given a wheel swap and humbrol paint job. Complete with a black tide line and made up reg plates & AA Tax Disc!

It's made by Siku. As part of the Siku World range. It's rather expensive to buy new. So have managed buy some 2nd hand off eBay.

I decided to have a break from working on actual cars and fiddle with a few of my miniature projects.

Wheel choice made for Impy Corvette

Needed some axle tubes made from WD40 straws as the originals are much thicker

Corgi bus thing is getting the wheels from a pull back car. I have a glass donor incoming

I used to do that too! I'm not too old to remember I had a line of them just in front of my pillow by the time I was tired before my mum would come in and downsize the fleet to one!

My dad's old Corgi Citroen DS was my favourite or perhaps it was given to me because it had no sharp edges!

The MB Ford Police Interceptor is one of my current favourites as it's one of the few models of a proper US domestic, this one being a beefed up final generation Ford Taurus. It's one of the last proper American Ford sedans before.being discontinued in 2019 together with most of the European derived passenger cars in favour of ghastly SUV type vehicles.

Managed to hit up the Tesco, only to find they just had the stuff from earlier in the year. However did get a Ford Thunderbird and a Ford Police Car, no pictures unfortunately as my 3 year old wanted to take the police car to bed. I’d completely forgot but I used to do this as well.

My littlun has a slide out shelf* I made for his high sleeper bed, so he can have a selection of cars beside him at night.

*OK so it's a bit of wardrobe slid underneath the mattress, but it's the thought that counts.

I can imagine these being a quick, fun project, and also incredibly light given what the real thing looks like next to normal cars.

Found this when I was looking for 1:24 kits, any interest on here?

Under £20 seemed reasonable for an oddball diecast of this size.
