2.3 Pinto turbo?

Posted

I've got a load of shite old models.

Mostly corgi but a few hot wheels or matchbox. Condition ranging from as new to utterly wrecked. None are boxed.

Any interest in my listing them up here at AS rates before they go on ebay in a few job lots?

Yes. Throw a list up please

Yup. As per Merkur XR4Ti but with added intercooler.

then eng has no interchangeable parts with the uk pinto.

No, especially since it's one eighteenth the size.

It certainly appears to be 1/18, and I haven't got a 70s police car in that scale.  Well, until it arrives.  Maybe I should have messaged the seller to ask, lol.  Autoshite Leap Of Faith!

It's arrived!  It's definitely 1/18, so that's ok.  No box, but that's ok too, I have some others unboxed.  There's some small damage, which is going to get him lukewarm feedback.  On the plus side, I'm still alive (she's just not speaking to me, again).

That's good, you can enjoy it in peace and silence.

Does anyone elses other half get annoyed when you are running them round the living room carpet making "brum brum" noises or is it just me?

I just build Lego garage dioramas to display my mini shite in, I need help LOL

Looking in the loft recently, I found a box labelled "toys". In with all the really old Corgis I found a few I customised in the early 80s.

The Mini I painted to look like my first car, later passed on to my girlfriend. The Metro is again my car. The 2CV Charleston is a Corgi James Bond Yellow painted to look like a friends car. The 2CV van I did after we had been to France & saw them everywhere. Again based on the James Bond model with plasticard rear body. Sorry they are all so dusty, I meant to clean them, but CBA!

You think that's bad, look at my avatar pic!  I bought this garage off a tat stall at a car show and restored it.  In fact I think that's a "before" pic there.

Of course this will make no sense at all next time I change the pic!

Could I bagsie the Sierra Ghia, one of the transit wreckers and the Mk1 Golf please?

There's loads more I want, but I'll limit it for now to give others a chance :-)

I reckon the Mk1 Golf GTI is actually a Mk2 if it's a Matchbox. Should look like this:

That's not to say that it's any less desirable or implying that Nyphur is trying to cash in on scene tax etc. It just seems that we're probably about the same age, as it seems I had most of these in my toy collection when growing up, hence nerd knowledge. I'd say you were pretty on the ball price-wise and that you shouldn't have much problem finding homes for your collection. Pick of the bunch for me would be your version of this:

Which I reckon is very fair for £1. My brother had the same model and postage to NZ would be a fortune so I'm out, though.

Put me down for the BMw 3 series, 850i and VW 1500 saloon please. I'll arrange payment today.

I had to look that up to see if the real one is as ugly as the model. Oh yes, it is...

I had that Delta. Why did Bburago give you those fugging awful waterslide transfers instead of the paper and adhesive ones you used to get in the bottom of the box! I could never get a clean cut at the door aperture.

I never bothered decalling my Bburago Delta, I thought it was infinitely cooler in "street spec". No idea where it is now....

Bought this old Matchbox truck at a autojumble a few weeks back as a wreck,

was at a loose end this morning so fixed it up for my 11 year old nephew.

Done it in the colours of his junior rod.

Hope he likes it :-D
