More Warshite. Dinky Bedford RL lorries with a quick WW2 (yes I know the RL is postwar) repaint. New tyres added as so many were missing or perished. All three were very scruffy - just the way I like them!  I’m pretty sure at least one came from a AS die cast sale.

They look great!

Im pretty sure you had at least one off me. As well as quite a few of the field guns etc.

Picked up this lovely thick Dinky catalogue at the boot sale, it's perfect bound which makes scanning rather difficult unfortunately

Buck Rogers (?) Corgi, I had the white one as a kid but I'd not seen this version before

Opel Fruits van, probably got it but it was tidy

This was an eBay find, obviously a copy of the Majorette 1302

Another eBay weirdo, Chad Valley branded Mustang but has an SS number on the base making it Sunnyside Superior I believe

I think that Caddy is a Vitesse, the makers inscription on the base is a bit illegible though.

It’s not, well it is, but it isn’t.

The Corgi Juniors ‘Blake’s 7 Liberator’ casting received later recolour(s) and in their wisdom a different catalogue number and title.

That release was as ‘Starship Liberator’, assumed done for markets outside of the UK that didn’t get the TV show

It was later released in this Twin-Pack of nonsense that makes my teeth itch

Playmobil were definitely sailing close to the wind with this pair of Matchbox copies

Gold version of the Majorette Monster Beetle isn't one I found in my local TK Max

Siku almost always do a typically German, efficient job of their castings. No exception here

Error tampo Mustang 

Chrome effect paint experiments continue. My Molotow pens don't seem to be working well and leave more of a grey finish (the stripes)

At the side/back of the roof are Temu nail varnish 

And Molotow after pumping the pen to flood some paint on

Really not a lot between them, nail varnish is rather thick, but is dry in a few minutes under a UV lamp. Molotow is still wet after hours, hence the mark in it where I touched the card onto it

Slim pickings from today’s mooch

6R4 was expensive for a Hot Wheels model, but this is one of my all time favourite rally cars from watching them during the Group B days in the 80s.

I already have a Lotus Cortina after a lot of searching so am happy to pass this on to anyone who faced the same struggles

Today I followed a tipoff and went to Aldi in Ulverston.

At last, the Cortina!  The Alfa was a gift yesterday but since I still had it in the car I allowed it in the pic.

Results of another JoueClub visit:

No sign of the Civic in the 90s set, but I think @bunglebus might have recently sent me one? Good to find the Mazda and Integra after seeing them on the Supervan card. Just liked the colour of the 911, and it has decent wheels for a Majorette.

This shop had much less in the way of larger scale diecast stuff than the first one.

Possibility of a boot sale visit today and an antiques/vintage fair tomorrow.

Bought loads at the toy fair, to the point I had to shoot off to Tesco for additional funds! I won't be able to look at my goodies until Tuesday now as I'm in a lorry headed for Paris.

I was looking at one of these at the toy fair

Guy kindly pointed out that it was a repaint, but of an original white car. He then pointed out that the sticker on the bonnet has no raised surround, unlike the common blue version. Don't know if he's right or not but most of the online pics seem to support what he's saying

It’s the insert from the Matchbox Crash Game set.  Launched with Superfast in mid-late 1969, although the box didn’t use the Superfast logo

Just four cars originally

Note how early the press-release was, as decimalisation of the currency was Feb 15 1970

That would be £38 today

Nice to see alongside a HW Sizzler, to compare size. That must be a very early box too, as I thought this was the only packaging for those

Angelino M70 was from the first 1970 batch of six.  Based on the Ford J-Car, with a big rear wing addition. Which means I ought* to dig out an original-16 J-Car die-cast example and take some shots together

And I left those behind! Bought lots off him but mostly smaller scale - the milkfloat is giving me pangs of regret though! I'm surprised the other sellers hadn't mobbed him before we got there

I didn't even notice that! Had to reach over to get the pic, that guy had a LOT of very desirable cars, and he knew what they were all worth. The huge tub of mostly Majorettes on the end of his table cost me about 20 minutes sifting through them alone

Not much?!  That’s the Hamley’s car carrier Bus and if I’m not mistaken the yellow Mustang is a Playskool Power Rod

What are your plans for the Power Rod?  The rechargeable cell will be toast but I could resurrect it and not got one of those

I didn't actually know the brand on the 50p bus car carrier, it does need new windows but doesn't look too daunting to sort out. 

I quite like the Mustang, hence paying a whole £1 for it!

I just went back through the thread, right back. It would seem you also have the Power Rods: Camaro, Corvette and 300ZX?

But do you have the Power Charger? I’ve got a spare here, would swap+cash for borked Sizzlers and borked Scorpions etc

What you need is to replace the old Ni-Cad cells with these Ni-MH https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/297472902770. That is, if any of the circuit is left and not corroded away. Don’t charge for the full 90 seconds though, as the heat generated when dump-charging into Ni-MH can make things melty
