Just unearthed a box full of things from the conservatory. Most have been packed for ages now.

It’s amazing how you can forget what you even have!

Hot wheels of assorted ages, with three Greenlight’s behind.

Odd stuff. MC toys, Ertl, Yatming, Zylmex. Some Base Toys 1:76 trucks & cars plus a few old 1:76 kit built cars. @quicksilver might be interested in?

Yellow Datsun estate is Zylmex. Someone was asking about this a while back but I couldn’t find it!

Mini Dinky Corvette. Not in bad condition at all.

IMG_6533.thumb.jpeg.905846cd768e9741e987fa804d168615.jpeg

Husky.
Jaguars are all mixtures of Husky (yellow), Corgi Rockets (green), Corgi Whizzwheels (silver & red).

All still have their breakable parts attached!

Majorettes. Purple Cadbury’s Beetle is near mint.

Matchbox.
Final year only Bedford car transporter in rarer red & grey. Thames livestock artic has its rear door too.

Base Toys 1:76 cars weathered up that I had on my model railway years ago.

Hmm,

If anyone does see something in that lot they fancy let me know and I’ll see. Some I might keep though.

Wouldn't mind the Capri if you're offering!

The MK1 Escort and Husky Thames van would also have a good home here

Noted! Which Capri?

Some while ago someone posted a pic of a Matchbox No70 Charger dragster they'd picked up and I liked the look of it, but as I don't collect that scale, thought no more about it. Later I was sorting out some King Size or Super Kings or Speed Kings, some sort of Kings anyway when I had an idea

I had one of those orange peel flip up chargers. Pretty sure @sierraman has it now?

That's a good idea, Gulper/Mill chassis. How have you adapted the charger body to hinge?

I've got several Speed Kings Cougar/Charger dragsters in the project box I keep thinking need something doing with them, the rear arches on the Cougar especially really bug me, they need altering back closer to stock and the wheels tucking inside I reckon

Went to a Dutch  Vlooienmarkt (second-hand goods) today. There are not all of the die-casts for sale. Some images were not any good and I could not take images of everything. Nothing was purchased as at the moment I do not want any more. Just wanted to share. A lot was not priced and where I did ask it was very expensive.

Below 007 theamed.

One of the total screwed up images was of a set of corgi/dinky sized models of communist cars. Skoda Wartburg etc. I am a not happy that did come out.

These are obviously  not die-cast but some interesting subjects.

Pretty sure there’s a little crack in the screen, but otherwise it’s not bad.
Escort isn’t a rockets, just a standard Whizzwheels jobbie, but it’s pretty good.

Thanks, I should have used the blue one it would have been much easier as getting the shape in the bonnet, sorry, hood is hard.

I'm not sure, maybe it'll be Orange Peel or maybe Snake or Wild Cat, Orange Peel is the most difficult decal to reproduce so probably that! Or maybe none of them

I've made a very crude hinge using aluminium sheet, by the time the arches have come back to the size/proportion  of the little No70 the chassis is well below the body so a big hinge!

I also hate the huge cutaway arches which is one reason I didn't just use the KS dragster shell as is.

I had already been thinking of making a Javelin/Gulper dragster as well.

I keep thinking about making a MK3 cortina gasser but I don't think the shape suits it, I think there more musclecaresque.

I went to The Motorist in Sherburn in Elmet and snapped a few pics of the miniature tat they have. The prices are eye watering but I thought I'd show what's on offer.

Speed Kings Mustang II is already there to go, just needs your (patented) hinge mechanism…

Happily the hideous front facing is removable (they’ve moulded the unfaired bike’s headlight behind it so it looks more like a cafe racer (or street fighter in modern parlance).

The drawing looks great though. I need to dig out my original one!

That looks great, how much will it be though?

I've never owned an original one and the two I've seen for sale were more than I wanted to pay.

The only other other CMC model I want atm is the Mini Magnifique, not seen one for sale though.

Those Ecurie Ecosse transporters do seem to be strangely valuable. No idea why though as I don’t believe they’re particularly rare? Although I’m sure there is a rare version of it with an odd colour interior moulding?

Ill try to find mine and get some pics up…

It's a model of the John Player Special Commando. Britains made the fairing a bit bulbous, but it's not a bad effort for the era.

I was watching Captain Scarlet on Talking Pictures TV yesterday and during the ad-break there was an advert for a 1/43rd part work of American cars.

Welcome to American Cars Collection!

It is supposed to cost £12.99 and is said to last for 50 issues. As usual they have got loads of offers of "free" gifts and the like.

If you're into '60s and '70s American cars then it is probably a good collection to get.

Most of the cars are muscle cars, but there are some other in the collection.

PS It looks very much like the American Car Collection issued by DeAgostini in the US

I spotted that yesterday on FB.  You can preview the whole set, so I did.  The only thing I would want enough to pay more than a couple of quid for is the Cadillac Eldorado.  Challenger and El Camino would be nice, but not at that money.  The rest... didn't grab me, but at least it's a start.

I had a look at them all too. To be honest much of it looks like re-releases of the US cars partwork they did before. Some haven’t even been given different colours. As such, I already have the ones I fancied.

The Eldorado pisses me off though. I hate convertibles! Why couldn’t they have done the hard top which looks better!?

But, I suppose, at least it’s something we’re being allowed, unlike most of the other similar partworks.

Yes it is the same set, they’ve rejigged the line order and printing.  It was released in UK around three years back, tested the water with six releases and then cancelled the series.  Last time it was initiated with ‘67 Mustang GT500 and ‘70 Charger

This set starts with ‘63 Corvette Stingray and ‘70 Chevelle and they state 20 releases.  It’s distributed by the firm Nigel Mothersole started after he left Eaglemoss - he was with Eaglemoss for years.  Eaglemoss have handled many previous DeAgostini/Hachette etc part-work collection UK distributions.  I hope it does better.

I’d like that red AMC Javelin if it arrives, if only because I was at one time Better Call Saul fan and wanted Nacho’s car
