Had a bit of a bumper day today, in missions in London but with hours to spare in between - so lots of shops were visited. Home Bargains and BuM well stocked but nothing new

PXL_20240917_125608870.jpg.b27a1cb0a09b90b5d6c6f052a6a90fab.jpgPXL_20240917_112220750.jpg.b1c2b1af3d0d8471a7cc8e8c9c043e39.jpg

However - Tesco had a new case of Hot Wheels, as did the Poundland on the same estate, plus Sainsbury's came up trumps with Matchbox multipacks

PXL_20240917_154420875.jpg.43b14c75638289e00f8f43ab2c6fbdfb.jpg

But that's not all - video call from the Mrs netted a load more from a Tesco restock at home, hopefully she'll send me a pic in a bit as I'm not home until Friday PM now. The hunt will continue in Cardiff over the next few days (once I drive there later tonight) and then Liverpool on Friday!

All as new but unboxed Corgi Vanguard’s Cavalier SRI’s.
I was looking for one, but found a seller in China selling these in a lot so decided 5 is always better than 1 right!?

Im going to keep a couple for myself, but anyone fancy one?

@AndyW201?

One’s got your name on it!👍
There’s no box or certificates with them but they are otherwise mint.

Theres potentially three available. I’ll keep one as it comes, then repaint another one for my own collection.
If nobody wants the remaining two I’ll code 3 them too!

Nice. I'll be honest, I'd have had one off you but I've been getting steadily more ill over the last couple of days which means I have to take time off work so things are gonna be very tight in the next month.

Hope it’s nothing serious…

If you want one, I can happily send you one and just give me something later when you can? I’m in no rush for the money!

Totally up to you👍

Thats no bother Dan. I've already got the Helios blue version which came as part of the centenary set, so obviously that came unboxed. Any Vauxhall for the collection is always welcome!

Interesting that they've all come with the mirrors attached, which is a good thing. This silver version came out in 2009 which was the era of the re released yellow cardboard box packaging, and the mirrors were supplied seperately in the vac-formed insert inside.

Amazing how these batches of unsold models are still turning up so long after release.

The Manta is a wierd 1. Made from resin I think but no markings at all.

The axle location parts are interesting to say the least, small nuts and a strip of sticky tape for the rear..

That looks like it's built from a kit by the likes of Record. However, to me it looks like the kit was not complete nd the builder has used parts from here and there, especially the bright jewels for head lamps.

I did wonder why the mirrors were attached. One of them has had one knocked off but no bother (I’ll keep that one for myself!)

I wonder why they’ve not been sold if they were run in 2009!? That’s a long time! Unless they’re clearance from the factory storage or something?

It's not a 400,just a standard Manta.

It is very well done, nice seat detailing but the axle mounting is a bit odd.

That kind of axel fitting is par for the course for some of the more basic resin kits from the past. The builder has added the nuts to stop the axels from moving. If I had built it I would have glued the axles as I don't tend to drive my built kits around on the carpet.

Here's some more examples of resin kits with just metal rods that fit into slots in the castings.

I don't think I'd go for that many of the latest release, but certainly another 2-3 there that I haven't already got and 'need' to look out for.

Today's finds:

IMG_4154.JPG.9b141809d96c5175117fad216233cd04.JPG

New stock of Moving Parts at Sainsbury's in Bury St Edmunds, they also had green Range Rovers. I'd prefer not to have the Harry Potter tie-in on the Anglia, but it seemed remarkable enough to find one in a normal shop. Cefiro from Sainsbury's in Thetford, as per the other week it didn't scan but this time rather than refusing to sell it to me they just scanned another Majorette at £3. This one can go to Miss SL's BF.

I always thought it was odd for this car to have surf boards on the roof rack.

Therefore, have the Northern version... Roger Postlethwaite visiting his local B&Q to pick up some lengths of 2x2 timber to fix the shed in his allotment.
