Not at the moment, the Corgi MK3s you mean?

Here's today's haul. Nothing at boot sale #2 at all, old boy from last week didn't show sadly

Ooh, that GS looks nice @bunglebus. What's the silver saloon next to it? A BMW?

And is that a K70 far left, middle row?! I'm guessing you'll be keeping that one, so hope it's a modern casting and not a 70's Marklin, or I'll be rather jealous!

I think it could be an Alfa 6....? Those Norevs are such charming castings, but I would say that wouldn't I.

Today was interesting. A big load of nothing, then one bloke with either house clearance or auction lots, boxes and boxes of assorted stuff, most clearly a collection with some dismantled project cars in various states of disassembly, one box was all home made police cars - including this Bburago Saab

Hot Wheels/Mebetoys Fiat was in the mix too

There were various plastic, no name cars in there which all seemed to be from the same maker - but none have any makers details. Does look very much like a Cursor though

Sometimes restos fail. What happened here from a toy fair purchase is the retaining pin broke during the work, which meant glue got involved, and everything went wrong from there including an original wheel getting damaged which required replacement wheels, glue on the paintwork, rear axle too wide. Blah. Was doing it in the wrong frame of mind. Anyway, straight into the charity bag for this one.

Morestones can be a bit frustrating because they aren't quite as robust as matchbox.

Remember I mentioned my next door neighbour inherited some toy cars from a deceased estate, well it was mostly days gone type stuff with some Lesney’s and Matchbox. She said take whatever you like but I only took 5 things.

I took the Rocket because I lived in Rainhill for a couple of years.

I'll say colour me interested in the Norev GS please, and potentially the Alfa 6, though only if no one else wants it.

I still owe you some money for other buys, though! Happy to settle up whenever.

Toy fair today had some interesting (to me) finds.

Almost the first stall I picked up this

IMG_9930.JPG.2560d6e08fc1fe81a9375d98fdabd1a6.JPG

I'm not into Jap cars and I don't think I have any other toys/models of any at all

IMG_9931.JPG.06f2f549c1839a5940ec52984f92ea90.JPG

I like this with openening everything

IMG_9932.JPG.7f26fd0bfa255acd29ff08e7002434f9.JPG

Yonezawa? Never heard of it...

IMG_9933.JPG.21d332deb1f19051808347178579e4ae.JPG

I picked up this Tomte (?) 911 from the same seller

IMG_9938.JPG.9254eae1764e7ac7a680ba2713c153f8.JPG

Another new one for me was this Mercury Lancia Flavia

IMG_9928.JPG.30d6fe9e682f86579779e454ff5e39a0.JPG

again opening everything, but I think it has the wrong too realistic wheels, no idea what from...

IMG_9929.JPG.9026ef940829fcefe3772c414b7ca136.JPG

Axles are too wide, I'll add some spacers when I get a chance

IMG_9925.JPG.3ff70a51d3731c9ab26461aff10d24a5.JPG

Three broken Corgis

IMG_9934.JPG.1149a217c12a4bcd47df11b92099e1bd.JPG

Land Rover and MGC for parts and Imperial missing a few bits and no golf clubs in the boot will get restored I think

IMG_9935.JPG.15d6dfc7015469679472f9d9cea49c76.JPG

Three Dinkys

IMG_9926.JPG.e78e75b8d4897b9529c8a6a512a28d7b.JPG

The Transit is the early one like the one I had as a kid, I have a radar thing I can fit when i get a chance. I have a broken P1800 from childhood, missing a few bits and wanted a goodish one to go with it and the Cougar is one I always liked in the catalogue, but didn't ever have.

IMG_9927.JPG.2e571ede3e2e77870f783eabe8b67675.JPG

Two Betas I just liked the look of

IMG_9936.JPG.1fa05f2c4e3697e2b0b56a2f41213c22.JPG

I already have a Solido Coupe somewhere in a different colour and missing a few bits, but this is a nice one and the Polistil Berline is one I've never seen before

IMG_9937.JPG.cca68e35925f17656560154996d14ddf.JPG

Funny I picked up three Lancias from different makers!

IMG_9939.JPG.65562a2270fca7842fb398ab9e899d8a.JPG

@bunglebus as you suspected Mrs Concern has a Matchbox caravan in pink (and yellow!), in fact it's getting pretty hard to find a toy caravan she doesn't have now. Love those Norevs, I have quite a few now, but only the GS (not such a good one) out of those you picked up.

I have just remembered this Jet Car Renner I got last week for 50p

IMG_9940.JPG.905aa1c12ef788c622de912f1c0f33df.JPG

It's pretty borked and missing bonnet and a door which is a shame, but no suprise as it looks so dainty

IMG_9941.JPG.faa9edecb39a8f73fc742497dc106d7f.JPG

Here's all today's stuff together with Mrs Concern's

IMG_9924.JPG.3ea14d8e63d81c8e004a8319a6b6be76.JPG

We went back to SIL's and she now has this lovely Budgie Bedford horsebox

IMG_9922.JPG.ec6efb6f896c5973f35af3f7349282dc.JPG

It's pretty small (tractor is Britains 1/32) so does anyone know what scale it is?

Yes it's a Heller 1/43rd kit. They still produce the K70 today, cost is around £12. Heller have made many 1/43rd kits over the years, some of which are quite collectable.

I'm a big fan of those Diapet/Yonezawa Toys. Very similar to the Tomica Dandy range, but they are not in the regular collector's 1/43rd scale, most are 1/40th.

Just not quite enough mazac in the die-casting machine to squeeze all the way along that door pillar.

Some considerable confusion was had down at Poundstretcher, as these newly stocked out 2023 cars still weren't priced today either, and this one wouldn't scan at the till. Then the manager couldn't find the shortcard models on the stockfile, so couldn't pull the PLU code.

In the end, they just scanned one of the reduced 2021 longcards to get me out of the store, so the good news is...

Only £1.49!

I suspect they're actually meant to be £2.49 like the Power Grab box versions, but I won't tell if you won't...

B&M had these oddities. 20240722_153832.jpg.de0d3909a042c66f341262f4f4cc37f7.jpg20240722_153828.jpg.663120c6f24f26b4e4ed978e9658b3ba.jpg20240722_153846.jpg.ae5c8db83256e0fc351ebb03cf95655d.jpg

Aldi had loads of all the same case.20240722_155011.jpg.31c6fae71e5ccd4ba8e5bce5b013143b.jpg

I did a charity shop buy. Most of it was hilariously overpriced but I didn't think a fiver was bad for a Bburago Rolls

Funny enough the plate is identical to my Silver Shadow

I do have a gold Camargue, too but it wears the reg PXC 162R

Aren't they gorgeous? They would have lasted 5 mins when I was a kid before taking them apart and losing crucial bits

I love pre-bankruptcy BBurago! So much better than after the acquisition

I wish Bburago would have another go at the Camargue, but with contemporary levels of detail and scaled properly to 1:18, rather than the 1:22 of their original attempt.

Seems that Corgi Model Club have finally got the finger out and sorted the backlog of releases I've been waiting for...

All arrived in separate boxes, too. 🙄 I'm pretty sure they would have all fitted in one, but never mind.

Feels a bit like I'm eight and it's my birthday, somehow.

Also making some progress in unboxing my more recent Mattel acquisitions and making them a little more accessible...

These double-sided cases hold 48 models each and are £10 from Hobbycraft, where they're sold as thread storage cases. Most mainlines will fit in them; some variation for the bigger premiums though!

If you download the Hobbycraft App and sign up to their club, you get various discount vouchers and whatnot - I managed to save a few quid by signing up in the store and getting money taken off at the till. And I've now been sent a £5 voucher that I'll probably put towards another case...

Those cases are brilliant!
