My latest purchase. Who would have thought that corgi juniors could become so expensive?

Building that Kingsway kit now, instructions aren't brilliant, and there is no reinforcement for the rear wall of the main building, it's involved a fair bit of head scratching and scratch building, no acetate is included either for the showroom window, I'd give it 6/10 tbh

Ironside van equals costly as TV tie in.

That Ironside van, never seen one before

I recall that there was interest in this kit on here a few months ago.

This one might be reasonably priced as it apparently has a few engine parts missing (surely not a big problem, just find some generic V8 bits from the parts box).

Even better, just seal the hood and keep the generic V8 bits for the spares box!

The joker kit is a monaco but the car in the film was a dodge 3700. Epic fail.

The Kingsway Kit, it was so frustrating, and the back of the building took a lot of scratchbuilding. Wished I'd bought another of the old car showroom kits with the large display frontage, couldn't be bothered building the petrol pumps either, esp as I don't have any thin black wire handy. Not a cheap kit for the money either and it isn't even printed card this time, simply printed self adhesive paper stuck on to cardboard sheets. I just wish Metcalfe would start doing O gauge again, they dabbled, but stick to 00

Polistil made some real shite back then, I had the XJ6 they did in the 80s. Where did you find such chod? It looks mint!

My hoard at the weekend was limited to a Matchbox Laser wheels 300zx and a Porsche 944 with the rubber tyres, the world class ones.

Local show at the weekend,

there was a few stalls there and I bagged it.

Just saw it and it appealed.....paid a whole €5.00 for it too!!

Keep an eye on local selling sites, and any charity shops around you.  Or, if you have access to free scrap timber, make them!

Aldi do them from time to time

might be worth keeping an eye on the website

I have that Volvo, one of Polistils finest. Heavy and detailed, just how I like a 1/24 1970s model to be!

I had the Polistil Jag police car as a kid, got it when on hols in Scarbro, must have been all of about 4, when we got home my bastard brother jumped on it

Posted

No offence but what a nasty brother you had.

I had that Polistil Jag, and also an SD1 but I swapped them a few years ago as I don't really like the ones with Plastic bases. I'll keep my CX and Volvo 740 though.

None taken, he's a cunt even today

Fairly sure we've got some of that very case somewhere hereabouts.

Let me know if you are interested and I'll work out a price.

Message on its way in a moment!
