Or get a Bulgarian one, if you want a more affordable yellow option. I've got one somewhere but don't think it has a red interior.

The 9 is just the 6 decal placed upside down.

The two rare versions are the one with red wheels...

7016.jpg?width=2073&height=1248&id=3021C

and the yellow painted version.

I don’t know why the decal is upside down though? Is it just an error from the factory? It doesn’t seem to be a common mistake.

I do like the yellow ones but I’m certainly not paying eBay prices for one!
The more modern Matchbox GT40’s are nice too.

Well, Pauline was brought up in Melbourne.  Sometimes she used to be absent-minded when thinking of back home.  But Alf wanted to stay on at Lesney as he was due promotion in a year or so.

Picked up a handful of Majorette’s t’other day.
I only wanted the Fury but they were all in a bag together.

Theyre not too bad really, but I think they’ve been stored in a garage or something as they stink of oil!
I might give the Fury a civilian makeover eventually.

I do wonder sometimes if the error cars they did/do really are errors. Some of them seem so stupid I just think someone was doing it deliberately!
Either someone pissed off at poor pay/conditions or someone who was just taking the piss! Sort of thing I’d do!
Or make myself some factory special’s which I could keep mint and boxed to retire on later in life!😅

I believe UT's Willys Jeep is identical to the version released (later) with Gate branding (part of the same conglomeration). I have the latter and think it relatively splendid.

I don't remember the Jeep version at all, the model shop never stocked that one. It's the BMWs I recall, especially the Z4 and the racing versions of the e36.

I wonder when the Paul's Model Art umbrella was phased out because I only remember seeing it on my Mondeo box which I got in 94.

Never seen the yellow version before.
It’s quite a nice looking casting I think, I never get many majorette’s but they’re usually pretty good regardless of what car they are. Seems to be a good amount of American tin in the range too.

That Fury is missing the rear strip light and it’s a bit rough in general so I’ll probably remove the lights, fill the holes and do a nice colour civilian car.

Ah, that explain why I jumped at the photo.  There is a Laurel & Hardy Jeep back here

Well not quite here, as my old Dad took it it away for his bay window shelf collection a while back

What I didn't know until now was the tie-in is to the 1960s Larry Harmon cartoon.  This is the back of the 1:32

Not the Australian ones

A more localised marketing strategy, I believe

From the DC haul earlier, not sure the Cinq is a long term resident, but wanted to get my mits on it as never had one of these (90's?) Bburagos, has a bit of thin axle bend (probably the subframe m8). It feels like a Fiat - a little lightweight, and doesn't have the quality of the larger 80's models (nor would I expect it to, it would have been cheaper, surely?)

So no re-paint, just put the transparency through the floor polish, added Gingacators and back to black (nuln oil) on those big bumpers. Tidied up the wheels a little, but seems like my chrome pens are drying out.

Apologies to anyone expecting my  “Fakes Firenza Free No Spot on or Lone Star Diecast Shite Sale. So bad even I don’t want them” sale this evening. I’ve just got home much later than expected and can’t  be bothered to do it now, plus I want my dinner!

I’m pretty sure when I do finally get around to it, it will be the biggest anti-climax since Millennium Eve.

Nipped in to B&M to find a mostly raided Fast and Furious selection, but picked up this Charger. Shame there was no 240Z, but otherwise I don't think I'm missing much.

Wheels are crap, 14s on the front and 20s in the rear, both with rubber band tyres
