OK here's some of today's haul, starting with Corgi.

These instructions and parts were all mixed in with a big pile of cars and junk, don't know if I missed anything

This was a pleasing find, lesser-spotted red Gruesome Twosome. That means I can restore the one Datsuncog sourced me

These Astra police cars always seem to be tatty. This is probably the best I've come across

Lone Star Europa is a nice find, actually one of two but one's missing the engine cover

Majorettes - E36 and especially the R19 cabrio were standouts here, actually found two the same. 

Know I know why the Land Rovers have an oblong hole in the roof, finally found one with the roof light in place

Finally some Hot Wheels, a few blackwalls and yet another Mini with the removable body. Found a loose base for one too, perhaps I should have nabbed it too

A few of today's Matchbox finds have registrations, I haven't shown them all but here's a list of those that have them displayed;

SGO 290F on the Miura,

SAR 857G on the Europa, 

PDB 7 on the Challenger - UK or USA plate?

KG 6567 on the Model A van - interesting as it's the Kellogg's version

78 JCF on the Corvette -again could be an American or English reg

B162 UNK on the Astra

The Saab just has SAAB - a trend I norltice with later Matchbox, as well as being LHD to have wider appeal I guess

Assorted rubbish collectibles have arrived over the last week or so. 
By no means is this a comprehensive list but a few I’ve deemed worthy of mention!

Went to a charity shop last week. Nothing any good except for a handful of Hot Wheels mixed in with a box of largely broken or much newer tat. I bagged the lot of them as it seemed a shame to abandon them to their fate with the ‘toy’ type stuff.

T bird stock car is really nice except one headlight is cracked and pushed back into the bonnet.

T-Totaller is not really my thing tbh but I just didn’t want to leave it on its own! Was someone after one of these?

Corgi Oldsmobile. Not too bad, missing a tyre. But nice.

Corgi Mustang. This one’s been played with hard over the decades! Suspension has collapsed and it’s rough as hell. But it is complete so I’ll probably strip it, fix it and paint it.

Dinky Desoto. Nicely patinated. Definitely one for leaving as is.

And…

These seem to be attracted to me like flies on shit! 
Not that that’s a problem as I love these!

Yes. Yet another King Size Charger! I think I might strip this one and paint it. I think!

Dinky Clubman has the plain headlights and I only had a diamond one, I think it will be a civilian one when I get around to painting it.

The Dinky Triumph 2000 is pretty good apart from broken windows (Very cheap obv) but Steve Floweres does a replacement

The Herald Coupe is not bad at all and is to replace my original smashed up one

I've got a metallic blue Mk1 Cortina, but could't resist this cheap rally version, missing roof light and both seat backs, again Steve Flowers does them, but not sure I'll bother

The Corgi Renault Floride is not bad apart from suspensionon one side at the back being collapsed, I may try to pack it out with some polystyrene or something. The air intake vents on the rear wings are actually pierced. I wanted it for my Bedford Transporter

The Herald still has the air filter as well as attached bonnet

I didn't know the rally Cortina had diamond lights front and rear

@danthecaprimanI love those King Size Chargers you have and really would like one now, in fact I've started to like the King Size and Speed King cars generally.

Just realised this one completely slipped my mind during the overextensive Friday/ Saturday tat writeup.

It's a Corgi Citroen 2CV6 in yellow - possibly one of the 007 tie-in versions?

Proportions aren't bad - maybe a little bit wide, but that classic deux chevaux look is definitely there. I'm not convinced it's a true 1/36 scale, though... it's kinda big! I'll dig out my earlier Dyane at some point and compare the two.

Rolled back sunroof is a nice touch, though the interior's fairly perfunctory.

Pop-up bonnet, secured with a catch and opened with a sprung piece of metal, adds a bit of excitement.

The one downside to this arrangement is that there's a bit of a gap even when the bonnet's shut, as the spring's straining against the catch.

The detail on the two-pot engine's pretty good, though hard to photograph.

I never owned one of these before - though have had an eye out for a decent one for a quite a while now!

This had a bit of played-with-in-the-flowerbeds evidence to the wheels and underside, but has since cleaned up nicely.

I'd quite fancy one of the two-tone Dolly or Charleston special editions that appeared later - there's always just one more to find in the Corgi range...

Some 1/43rd 007 2CVs

Solido effort has wrong headlamps and wrong roof.

Detail is a bit rubbish to.

Ranking 4/10

Vitesse version

Correct headlamps and roof colour, but interior too dark and no hub caps.

Limited Edition so kind of rare. Ranking 8/10

Norev version

Everything looks correct including hub caps

Comes with description leaflet.

Comes in nice display box

Mine also had small poster. Ranking 10/10

I got this for Christmas in 1970 or 1971.

It was great. You had to be quick resetting the Super Booster to keep the car going. My best record for the most circuits was 49. A fun Christmas.

Never did have any Superfast track

But did have HotWheels orange track. 

I never knew they did a comic, but looking at the price on the cover here, it was probably only published in the US.
