Some good finds in there.

Draguar is in good shape - often have the roof broken

Blackwalls are always great to see, think the Camaro was a colour changer - probably won't work anymore, they never do.

My favourite is the pickup though, I've had a couple and customised one - I need the base from one now for a project! This was under a fiver and needs to be put back on normal wheels

Lone Star Imperial is lovely, I don't have one in that colour scheme

The Draguar is really good. Only a few tiny chips really. There was another one with it with a complete roof dome but missed engine.
The black wall pickup is really cool! It’s far from mint but the worn paint suits it in a weird way! I’m surprised the plastic bikes in the back are still with it and not broken.

Imperial is lovely. Not sure about the stripes though, especially on a car like that! I darent take them off though!

That one in my pic is a bit worn too, still like it though!

Notice yours has a yellow interior, mines red.

Ill have a look for the other Draguar, I think it’s now at the bottom of the box though!

The stickers are very worn on mine but it does look like the top one of yours.
I’ve got another elsewhere missing it’s doors too, which I think is the middle pic type with Red Cross. Was there a green military version too?

When’s the upcoming sale starting? So I can knock off work early 🤣

Just waiting on one more lot to turn up.
Although, I could start putting them up bit by bit? Up to you guys really. What would you prefer?

Wow Thanks for remembering and thinking of me! They look great, but £21 already with nearly six days to go, Ithink they'll go over my budget. As you may have noticed I've been going a bit mad with Corgi 1/43 stuff lately and I'm trying to rein it in a bit. I did get an offer of this nice NOS for £13, but didn't take it up although tempted. Perhaps I'd better watch those seven and make a cheeky bid at the last minute! I don't much want the Xraycer so maybe could recoup if I won them.

No, but it soldiered on until 1999 so there are plenty of versions out there

That’s the one! I was sure I’d seen a military green US ambulance.

The paint, stripe and ‘chromed’ low-friction wheels make it one of the ‘Flyers’ range.  Peak Lone Star IMHO.

They got an early glimpse at what Mattel were doing at the spring 1968 New York Toy Fair and very quickly went through the range, adapting the existing Impy castings, alongside new loop-the-loop track pieces just like Hot Wheels.  They beat the Corgi Rockets launch by a year and Matchbox Superfast (also with track) by six months

Your example is 1969-71 and might have been one obtained through the Quaker cereals promotion

Much to the relief of many I imagine, that's 6am NZ time, so peak time for me shuffling Mrs_Jon off to work (she takes a while to get ready), so I'll likely be MIA.

Now if you said 8:30pm your time, I could probably make it!

Fair enough! I’ll try to aim for 20:30ish.

Wow! Proper radioactive glow!
I don’t know why mines not doing it? Maybe I’ll try it somewhere really dark instead of just in my hand. It was filthy when I got it. Took a fair bit of detergent to shift the mank on it!
Always amazes me with these old toys that the shit (probably literally in some cases!) that’s on them and yet people let kids play with them. Some of the ones I’ve found are health hazards!

Does it need ‘charging’ first by holding it up to a light bulb for example. I’ve found that’s how watches work for the hour markers.

Just to continue from yesterdays post, here's a couple of KADO/Tomica Split Screen vans. These Tomica Dandy models are very good quality, but the prices can be a bit sky high. They have a feel of a well built 1960s Corgi and the look of a 1970s Dinky. I have no idea how many variations there are of these KADO Police vehicles as they do not turn up very often and information is thin on the ground.

By the way, I think the VW Bus is a 1967 as it has the big round indicator, big rear hatch and sliding doors on both sides.

Could well be the case. It’s probably spent the last decade or two in a box in someone’s attic in total darkness so I’ll stick it out in the sun for a few hours…

A minute or two is enough to charge them up.

Personally I wouldn't leave them in the sun as they do get yellowed and brittle from UV.

It’s glowing!! Proper nuclear glow too.
Id left it out in the sun all day though!😬

It must have just been sat in darkness so long it needed a recharge. I tried to get a pic but the camera can’t handle the darkness. They are very cool though, never had one before.
