My nearest Ford dealer has started selling these as well, can't say I've seen any about though apart from their bright yellow 3 demonstrator.  Red suits it better but it's still a slightly awkward-looking thing.

Come to think of it, not seen many 6's either.  I do know a guy who has a top-of-the-range black MG6 and whilst helping him unload something from the boot he got a bit irritated with me when I asked if it had been reliable.  I didn't mean to offend but just wanted to find out if there were good ones out there too to counteract all the bad ones I'd heard about, such as Dugong's terrible day with a brand new one.  His slightly irked reply was 'nope, nothing's gone wrong, it's a great car, no problems at all'.  I got the impression he was sick of people asking him the same thing...

I've seen a few MG6s but never an MG3 in the flesh.

Nearest MG dealer is 160 miles away.

Do you remember that film, Brewsters Millions, where that chap has about 24 hours to lose loads of money

The depreciation on these should sort most of that out if they want to do a sequel......

I've actually seen quite a few of these... I work in Brum a fair bit and there must be a hardcore group of ex-MG workers who are keeping the dream alive. Also, I live near Loughborough and the university there did something with the Olympic cycling team, who were sponsored by MG so they've got a few 6s with bike racks on the top and fully stickered up.

I must admit, probably 50% of the ones I've seen wear decals for a dealer.

There is a dealer at the end of my road when I lived in Coventry. I like those little ones. Pity they're Chinese.

On my way home from various places, with about half a mile to go I keep seeing a blue one with pink mirrors coming the other way. ?????

Oddly, I do see quite a few of these MGs about. I keep meaning to take one for a test drive but I'm simply too lazy to bother.

I want an MG6 so the stratospheric depreciation is a plus in my book as it brings them closer to my price bracket.

I see the occasional 6 but thus far never see a 3 in the wild.

Was talking to a guy a little while back who snagged a 6 with minor damage for a shade over 700 bills. Bumper and tailgate dinged, both unobtanium in NI, but the car was still drivable, apparently. 2011 car I think.

Lord Sterling makes a good point: there's an MG dealer near me, they've written to me offering a test drive. I can't be arsed either. In fact, the sheer lack of effort on the part of MG UK makes me think "meh"

For any of you in NI, here's the dealer. Former purveyor of Rover and its antecedents too, since 1935.

I see loads of MG3's around here, mostly yellow or white though. Do these have a kettle series in them? If they do,coupled with its chinese credentials it's got win written all over it.

I've seen about 3 of each (the 6 and the little one) and there's a dealer the other side of town. However crap they might be, they can't be any worse than my local Dacia place, who were worse then hopeless when we went to look at their 'stock' last week.

I see one of these every morning on my into work. I usually see it at Colton Mill, Leeds. The bloke must be a pervert or something... :-P :-P :-P

There is an MG dealer in my town so actually seen quite a few; a mate of mine bought a brand new 3 last July and hasn't got a single bad word to say about it. I tend to see more 3s than 6s though there are about half a dozen 6 PHCs plying local ranks.

I occasionally transport an orange band around and the band sargeant has a brand new *facelift* MG6 which he bought whilst he was getting his 18-year old twin boys their birthday present - a pair of brand new MG3s.

Car buyer review is here - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tP2-gwd3QWk the MG3 isn't my cup of tea but it's worth a watch just to eye up Rebecca Jackson.

The MG6 does interest me however. When I can pick one up for around £700 I will have one for a bit.

A bloke in an MG6 came to the local MGF meet a couple of months ago. I was only half listening to him telling me what car he had and I obviously didn't respond enthusiastically enough when he replied 'not your cup of tea then' and I replied with 'ummm, not really'. He got the grumps and drove off. It was only later that evening that I realised he'd got a 6. Whoops.

I'm a big fan of the 3 - old school engine that likes to be revved, fun handling and a sensible price tag. Would I spend actual money on one? Probably not. And don't get me started on the 6.

I think I'm in love.

... Do these have a kettle series in them?...

No they don't - they have the "Nanjing Small Engine" (NSE) fitted. The only similarity between them is that they both use the otto cycle. The NSE, apparently, was specifically designed for long life under less than ideal conditions. They have cam chains rather than belts and heavy duty bearings.

Hundreds of thousands of NSE's have been made and are used in several different Chinese cars and they do seem to fulfil their promise.

Until a month or two ago I'd only ever seen stickered demonstrators, but I'm starting to see plain ones now. Not many though, I still do a double take when I see one.

No that photo was taken from an early episode of Loose Women. They were discussing sexual things as usual and she mentioned she likes `the shocker`
