dollywobbler Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 With cash tight, I've decided that I need to get rid of some model cars, as well as some real ones. There's no real point me holding on to these. Nowhere to display them and they're just getting in the way. Some I've had since my early teenage years, so it feels a bit sad, but what realistically am I going to do with them? So, they're up for grabs - and I might be interested in bulk deals. MATCHBOX SUPERKINGS. Some of these have 'black' wipers as I clearly got creative with a marker pen back in my youth...Magirus Deutz Fire Engine - with steering! Excellent model and box £10 Jaguar XJ6 Police. Box and model seem a little aged, but still very good overall. £8 Ferrari Testarossa. Not brilliant condition, nor a brilliant capture of the original to be honest. Box is ripped. £5? Range Rover. Pretty good condition, some slight corner damage to box but comes complete with Woolworths sticker. £8 CORGI CLASSIC COMMERCIALSI've got a few of these but not sure you folks would be interested in them. Let me know! Things like AEC Regal coaches, OBs, Pantechnicons etc. BURAGO 1/18 scale Ferrari 348tb, good, but some very slight paint loss across the top edge of the windscreen, and the front bumper has dropped a little. Italian build quality? £10 Lamborghini Diablo. Excellent model, the plastic film on the box has come loose but rare blue. £15 Porsche 911 Carrera (993). Excellent model and box. I really like this one. £SOLD Dodge Viper RT10. Excellent model and box. I really like this one too. £15 Porsche 356B Coupe. Pretty good model and box, but not the best. This was my very first 1/18th model bought in Mallorca. Sorry for the boring fact. Tenner? MAISTO 1/18 scaleMercedes-Benz 500SL in white. Pretty good condition for model and box. £15 ANSON 1/18 scaleBugatti EB110. Excellent box and model, though the door strap has been removed - it has been out of the box. £15 BRITAINS 1/32 (1980s)Land Rover, trailer and quad bike. Rare in this condition. All superb bar some very minor damage to the inner packaging. £25 Land Rover, Special Edition in green. Sadly the box has been squashed. £10 That's about it for now!
TimothyClaypole Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Could I have the 993 please? And how much for the syrup?
hairnet Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 is it wrong i have all those burago apart from the diablo......... have about 20 theyre all on top of a ardrobe somewhere lol
dollywobbler Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 Certainly Mr Claypole - though the syrup comment is lost on me... I shall try and get a feel for postage costs and I'll PM. Hairnet - sadly no Britains tractors. I must have bought these Land Rovers during my Landy-fascination phase when I was about 15 (well, I had my school experience at Lode Lane which probably had something to do with it!).
Captain Mainwaring Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 I had that same Magirus Deutz fire engine when I was a kid - the blues on the cab roof do the steering IIRC! Tempted by the 356B, if only because I also had that same model when I was younger (also obtained in some foreign destination) - alas it soon lost it's wheels and bumpers and gained plenty of cracks in the plastic windscreen. Does the tenner include P&P?
dollywobbler Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 Tenner doesn't include P&P. It'd barely be worth selling them at all otherwise. I might meet you mid-way though. I reckon it's about a fiver postage so £12 inclusive? I might not be online for a bit but feel free to drop me a PM.
dollywobbler Posted September 19, 2011 Author Posted September 19, 2011 I still have most of these. I can see that I'll either have to get them on Ebay, and watch them make £2.60, or just shove them up in the loft. Which isn't so bad a prospect to be honest. Then I can rediscover them in about 10 years time when they'll be worth millions! Or maybe not.
TimothyClaypole Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 There's a tin of Lyles's Golden Syrup in the pictures on the laptop for some reason.
dollywobbler Posted September 19, 2011 Author Posted September 19, 2011 Oh yeah! Hard to spot in our sea of junk. No longer contains syrup.
Lord Sterling Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 BAH! this has to happen when I'm skint
dollywobbler Posted September 20, 2011 Author Posted September 20, 2011 BAH! this has to happen when I'm skint Correction. It had to happen when I'M skint!
AnthonyG Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Correction. It had to happen when I'M skint! DW, How much are you looking for the Range Rover (the real one) and whats its tax/mot situation? I can't find a seperate for sale thread.
dollywobbler Posted September 21, 2011 Author Posted September 21, 2011 PM'd. (well, I'm about to PM you anyway!) EDIT - though I might as well put the answer here anyway. I'm after £995 and there's more detail here. http://retrorides.proboards.com/index.c ... ead=111943
