How is this car even possible? Clearly stored outside! Shirley it must be at least kippered underneath.

Alright dudes, I've been back down the garage pissing about with my new megashite.

It was a non-runner due to having had the petrol nicked so I chucked some in and fettled the sawn-off fuel pipes. It still woundltn run though cos the pump was not working, its a BOSCH in-tank job. However, my experiences with the argenta have gained me a B.Eng (hons) in dismantling Bosch pumps so I had it to bits and freed it off. Put it back. After that it fired right up and sounds FREAKIN AWESOME! It is the quietest smoothest 90's engine I have ever heard, unbelievable. Hunts a bit at tickover though, must have a sticky control valve or something. So, i drove it over to the hosepipe dept, and heres where I'm up to now:

I have had a ratch through the paperwork, It was sold new to a Dr. Elizabeth Ford of Orpington Kent, who traded in an S-reg Fiat 132 and paid £12000 in cash!!!! It has had a service on average every 1500 miles, the book is stamped up to 16200 miles (now on 17084). All the bills are there and even the original order form, a congratulatory letter from the Dealer and the sales brochure with Dr. Fords scribblings in about what options to get, what the dimensions were in ft/inches, cost of auto transmission and so on. Everything works inside including the ridiculous 'diagnostic check panel' thing. Outside, theres no sign of even the tiniest speck of rust or re-touched paintwork. I CANT BELIEVE IT MAN!

I think with the brakes freed up and some new tyres this will cruise through the MOT, its mintola man. WOO-HOOO!!!!!!

That it well fly. It looks ace. Have not seen one of them for years.

How on earth is it not rotten? Did the doctor pay for some super duper protection as I thought these would probably rust a fair bit?

I hereby predict that you'll own this fabulous machine for the rest of your life.

You spawny get.

My, that's cleaned up a treat. 8)8)

Well done Brer Bollox.

I have to say, Bol, that's a beauty and I'm positively jealous! You jammy sod! May it serve you well for many years.

You need to run this as your daily. It'd be like a really shite back to the future sequel for your neighbours.

I dont know what i'm going to do with it TBH, its far too nice for me to start doing 500 miles a week in it! I might try to get it on a classic policy for a bit perhaps and potter about in it sometimes. Or i might MOT it and shine it up and try to re-home it.

Heres a shot of the engine, forgot to include it! Admittedly its not mega interesting like.

My quiet admiration of your shite exploits has quickly gone through a patch of envy to outright disgust at just HOW JAMMY YOU ARE!

I HATE YOU!!!

You've found the fourth wheel trim too FFS.

I love the 3d numberplates!

Very good looking car there, I love these rare care cars with a 1-owner low-mileage full history. I'd love to be the sort of person who buys a brand new car to only pootle about in for a few hundred miles a year!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did these share door panels with the Saab 9000 of the same vintage?

They certainly look pretty similar. Same designer (Giugiaro), same platform.

Get the engine sold to someone rodding a moggy minor and weigh the rest in PRONTO. *

*This is a joke.

Bol is the doctor, and I claim my five pounds.

This is a STUNNAH!

I reckon if you fell in a bucket of shit you'd come up smelling of roses, that's a top result that will be almost impossible to beat in shiting circles. You should defo run it round on a classic policy, something as nice as that deserves some use in your hands.

That's too easy by far Bols. I reckon you should flog it sharpish and buy that hanging Lancia off here instead. That will doubtlessly provide grief and heartache in the appropriate measures for a true shite experience.

Well, this one's turned out alright, dont forget though I pissed about with that cavalier for yonks getting it ship shape then ended up selling it for what I paid for it 'busted'! Also my 'low mileage, one elderly owner' Rover 220 ended up needing its engine replaced and gearbox rebuilt before it was any fuggin use to anyone. Some you win some you lose and all that.

Good save you jammy bastard. Although you've suffered for the art, so you're about due something like this.

One for the Bo11ox museum, or as said above, open an ebay account called Bo11ox Doktor and punt it on for £2799, putting the money towards your next heroic purchase.

"...and then it turned out, that the old Fiat wasn't painted silver; it in fact was made of solid silver. Hallmarked and everything. Which was nice."

That's what popped into mind, when I looked at this earlier!

Congrats, that's a phenomenally jammy purchase; I'd reckon you were due it, after some of the recent epics of the short time I've been here. Consider it shite karma delivering you a higher level, or somesuch.

What he said. Think about it- you have all these welding skills going to waste and someone with cash waiting for an automatic Croma. Rare opportunity to do the right thing!

Wow! Just wow. 8)

Well done, Mr. Bollox! Hope it goes through the MOT with much trouble. :D

( Made me wish I kept & repaired my H reg Tempra 1.4 when i crashed it. )
