Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

"Please not me, please not me, please not me" was muttered by every participant awaiting the result and with a cry of utter resignation, the winner collected his prize while all around him cheers of relief filled the air from those who did not win.

How do Chromodoras make this look more modern?! The clean up probably helps, too. Get the bumpers aligned slightly and this'll look fantastic, although it looks pretty impressive at the moment!

I had a can of paint made up for £10 at my local auto paint place and sprayed everything that was painted in primer. I got the wheels from a 127 I had last year but think they are originally from a 124 coupe.

Those wheels really suit it and look fab, yet the car manages to retain it's air of miserableness. Fantastic!

Yay! The Samaratat thread lives on!

Let's bring y'all up to speed...

Will raced ahead to Shitefest in his 106 daily, I took it a bit slower, trailer loaded with Samara, veg, and random tat.

The rig looks a bit nose-heavy there - that tin bath was full of tubs of Cabbage_Juice to fuel our weekend.

The next day in the field of dreams, the last numbers for the wheel of misfortune were sold to attendees.

The last names Tip-Ex'd on...

"WINNER WAGON" bunting was added:

As above, serial shite-licker John_K won*.

So this had to happen:

I came prepared with the "A" and board, to lend out in such an eventuality.

Then we discovered the Lada had no ball on the tow-bar, but John bought one from the back of Gary_Cox's BX. Plug too. Which we wired up in the dark, with the aid of Moog's excellent home-brew. WCPGW?

Nowt!

Teeside achieved!

His plan was to take it on the "Rust to Rome" banger rally the following week. I don't know if that happened in the end, but he did have some fun besmirching his posh work's car park with it, normally a sea of grey A4's and C-Classes.

Then it became FOAD's.

..and this happens:

What a transformation already Scotty.

Good work! :D

I bet it provided some megaLOLs at Crail. Sad I couldn't be there to witness it.

The times were respectable - it goes fairly well really. What do you reckon to the way it drives?

Shite, it really doesn't want to idle and almost overheated in the que for the strip.

The steering lacks feel and doesn't like to self-centre, the suspension is wallowy and the brake pedal doesn't do very much.

The lack of rev counter meant I was worried about breaking it but on the plus side it does have a cool red button on the steering wheel.

I drove it back from Northumberland and it wasn't awful, it was pretty bad though.

My verdict is absolutely awful, nothing feels like it does particularly much, especially the brakes. Very good fun though! It makes the Polo feel very refined indeed in comparison, which is saying something.

I reckon it's the sort of car that you need to drive when you feel down aboit yoir current steed (or steedS in foads case)

Then when you get back into your car it suddenly feels much better!
