You need to check out the condition of the Starion thoroughly, because as it stands I would imagine the XR3i is worth more than it. Saying that, the Mitsubishi is alot rarer and could actually be quite a good one... but from both those pictures, I would stick with the Escort.

It might just be the photo but is the rust coming back on the rear of the sill on the Starion?

The wheel trims are indeed genuine items, god knows how many were replaced by some sort of awful tri spoked alloy over the years though! Where's Station? Wouldn't he be the best person to ask?

Is it your daily? If so then keep the escort. If not and you want a project starions are touch mechanically but go over the bodywork carefully. If it were my choice and it wasn't my daily I would swap
