What I did whilst AS was down

This week whilst mainly crying over the lack of AS, I removed all the windows in my car, cleaned it all and refitted it with new rubbers :D

So what else did people do to pass the time between Old Shite and new Shite?

Cruised round in the Bluebird, enjoying the plush seats and chilling with the autobox. I should have fitted a new clutch cable to the Vespa and sorted the Merc but been busy with work etc.

Fuck all of use. Came back to England, did alot of walking with a box full of headrests for a Rover :?

Spent alot of time looking at stationary traffic while my BMW consumed a large amount of fossil fuel.

Getting shot of my van no longer seems such a sensible idea. Grr.

I did a fair bit of uninterrupted work earlier in the week, then started to struggle a bit and just ended up watching Bargain Hunt...

The day after Autoshite went down, I woke up in the early afternoon on the kitchen floor, still wearing my crumpled suit, but no shoes/socks. I was starving, so I looked around for something to eat, but couldn't find anything. In the end, I drank an entire bottle of Peach Schnapps and dozed off for an hour. After that, I was still hungry, so I got in the 626 and drove up the M1, then onto the M62. Somehow I ended up in the middle of Huddersfield. I still had no shoes/socks on at this time. I then entered a Wimpy Bar and asked for the "Classic" but specified no lettuce, absolutely no lettuce on my Classic. When my food arrived, it inevitably had lettuce on, so I became quite aggressive and confrontational. They asked me to leave so I grabbed a knife and started waving it around and they threatened to call the police, so I stabbed it into a poster advertising the Bender burger and went "Stitch that, Jimmy", stuck two fingers up at them and knocked over a condiments tray. I subsequently ran out into the street and got back into my car, then drove back onto the M62 and ended up heading east, got to the M1/M62 junction but I kept going. Eventually, I got to Ferrybridge services - by then it was the early evening and I was starving, so I bought three packets of Monster Munch (Hot) and ate them in the car. I dozed off again until the early hours, then went driving around again looking for booze. Everywhere was shut, I couldn't find any 24-hour places with alcohol. I stopped to ask a woman where I could find drink and she turned out to be a prostitute, I gave her £20 to direct me to the nearest place I could get booze from but the directions were lousy. I went back to look for her and possibly get my £20 back, but she was gone. By then it was morning and I was furious, so I pulled over to have a think. In the end, I got myself so wound up I kicked over an advertising board for a carpet shop, the owner was opening up and confronted me about it so I said "Carpet this!" and threw the sign over a fence (I think it was his fence), but I got in my car and drove off before he could do anything. I kept driving and found the Morrisons in Pontefract, bought some weird "Bettabuy" or something dark rum and drank it in the car park. Dozed off and someone had ticketed the car for overstaying my validated parking or something. I took the ticket off and drop-kicked it over a hedge and went "GOAL!", some old woman shouted something at me so I went "Cram it, cardigan-face" and threw my empty bottle of rum at her feet, it just kind of bounced away and hit a kerb or something, made her shut up though. Anyway, I couldn't stick around in the car park so I got back in the car and went driving around to see if I could find the seaside, I'd had a lot to drink so I didn't really know where I was going and it had got dark again by now which wasn't helping matters. I saw some woman hanging around on the street and - would you believe it - it turned out to be the prostitute from earlier. Anyway, to cut a long story short I got my £20 back and she won't ever give anyone dud directions again.

See post by Albert Ross. :D. I really was lost - my sodding broadband fell over too! It's like losing an appendage of some sort. Yesterday, I finished my luncheon, and thought, "I'll surf the web for a while until the broadband comes back on. " D'OH!

Eh? Er, is that a bit like going for a drive whilst your car is being fixed?
