Autoshite T-shirt slogans.....?

How about going to Oxfam and getting every single item of torso clothing in there and just printing it on them.

For example, a 70's tweed blazer, an old beige bri-nylon shirt, even tshirts with old prints on could be covered up.

This.

Also, writing 'AUTO' and 'SHITE' in gothic script across the arse of jeans. Or buying a load of plain beige shirts and getting them embroidered with the "Hirst Cabs Ltd" logo (whatever the hell that might be)

Agree that simpler is better otherwise, as mentioned, you just look sa-aaaaad! Thats why the Imp club shirt works well:

Those British Leyland shirts are cool too. Went to a Jam tribute the other week and even 'Paul Weller' had one. So they must be cool LOL!

Think I may have to get one actually. 8)

I have to fess up to having (and wearing) the Haynes Mk3 escort t shirt - but it was only sick squid in Asdar.

I have some Samuel Smiles shirts, notably Capri (red car) and A40 (blue car, as she will be). I'm considering further investment in these vestments...

I actually quite like some of the Haynes ones.

Does anyone have a link for Mr Smiles - I cant find on ebay. Just had a look. Cheers

Slightly OT but in my teens I had a Durex Honda paddock jacket that used to cause offence whenever I wore it back in the early 1980's.

I reckon the ones with just a picture and no words look better.

Anyone know where you can get the BL ones?

There's an ebay seller doing those black shadow/sillouhette t-shirts like the Imp Club one. Loads of different cars available.

I've quite a few of those, they are exceptionally good quality for a £10 shirt. And they're quite stylised so you don't look a total saddo.

And in the mid-90s I had a Durex Suzuki coat, same applied!

Surely you'd need a shite item of clothing to begin with?

The Trucker Cap - foam front, mesh back, guaranteed to have sharp mesh edges that dig into your scalp. Apply AS logo to front, profit.

This is the trick with car clothing I reckon, if you had no interest in cars, then wearing an Imp Owners Club T-shirt would be extremely cool. However if you love imps then wearing one marks you out as a bit of a sad case IMO. But how does anyone else tell the difference anyway? This is the eternal quandary of car apparel.

I did realise what the reaction would be at the time. Its okay in an ironic sense i think with things like that.

Re the Haynes manual ones, i saw a Hillman Hunter one at the VW festival last year but did not have enough money for that and a pint so had a pint instead.

Never seen one since.

I saw a really nice Imp today, in Bawtry, I was working though, no camera. Tidy thing, looked local, turned towards Austerfield. Moss Green kinda colour.
