I didn’t end up driving the CRZ home, it was just a little too crusty for me to take in at the moment,  but had a great afternoon with @oxb1l chatting cars! It definitely got me out of my post Christmas gloom. On getting home, not 1 but 2 of the cars I had been searching for popped up. Chose one, messaged, agreed.. and now I'm up at 5am waiting kn my first train to......

Royston.. and not the Glasgow one..  its gonna be a long day! And its -4..

Could you be owner number 26 of the forum bike XK8? If not what are you waiting for?

Last train.. Royston next.

I have to say, these train things are great! Seamless trip from Scotch to nearly London in a morning. Impressed!

Well done, I'm glad there are people mental enough to attempt a long journey northbound on a freezing NYE in an eighteen year old Alfa.

May your merging be in turn.

Safe miles!  I've been across town and back today and I'm absolutely not stirring out again.  OTOH I've somehow never driven an Alfa yet... not sure the very middle of winter is the right time to start!

Right. HOUSTON.. we have a problem....

I stopped and had a Wendy's burger, now I've got raging indigestion,  stopped at the services near Doncaster on the hunt for some Rennies..

Alfa is perfect.. needs a thermostat though, so the heatings set to 25, instead of the usual 22.

Excellent.

Dare i ask if it has shiny inlet manifolds?

Afraid not, but its not a chuffin' diesel.. a diesel Alfa is like a ham and custard sandwich.

Yesssss!
