Barry Cade Posted December 31, 2025 Author Posted December 31, 2025 And hame. 400 miles, no warning lights, 35 mpg average, sat on cruise all the way- except the A68-. Bose stereo thumping away. First impressions- love it. Cruises nicely, although the boy racer back box will be going.. it scrabbles a bit for traction, the V6 will really struggle i reckon, go for the q2! Only issues? The headlights are a bit shit, although they need a good Polish so will reserve judgement. Parking sensors don't work, on my list. A couple of trim bits need refitted , needs a thermostat as its running around 70, and it has a faint smell of oil through the heater- perished breather hose I'd imagine, or maybe a rocker cover gasket. Pulls really well, gearbox/brakes/electrics all spot on. Work starts tomorrow! Happy new year everyone! IronStar, bigfella2, Shite Ron and 28 others 27 2 2

oxb1l Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I looked at these after you mentioned Alfa's the other day, Very nice 👍🏻 Barry Cade 1
Alfaisti Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Well bought sir, had a 156 1.9 oil guzzler along similar lines, fantastic car to drive just watch out for the notorious front wishbones! My car eventually succumbed to the dreaded rusty front subframe that affects Alfas of that vintage. Barry Cade 1
Barry Cade Posted January 17 Author Posted January 17 Work progressing on the GT. I now have functioning parking sensors, a grille with all the moustaches, new badge, replacement tail lights- both were cracked? And a whole lot of other stuff. Now EVERYTHING works. Thermostat replaced so its toasty, aircon works fine too! Today's job was to remove all the interior and take out the plastic bags full of sponge they put in the sills. Someone has already been there, done a very nice job of fitting new sills - both sides- then putting the bags back in 😖. I took them back out then flooded the sills in Lanoguard. Still waiting on a new back box from Poland.. I'm really starting to like this thing, and I'm finding that someone has really looked after it in the past. THE most mportant thing with an Alfa! mk2_craig, scooobydont, Matty and 19 others 22
155V6 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Very nice, just tonight I've been thinking about one of these in a couple of months if the Laguna fails the MOT on too much.Or a Laguna Coupe,or a Bini..... Barry Cade 1
