I was going to put this in News 24… but I didn’t want to clog it up with loads of pictures. But Tatton Park Retro show was superb today with so many excellent and rare cars!

Some wonderful old tin there. Mk1 Citroen BX for me I think, but that green Nissan Prairie is a definite strong contender.

That is Theo's one, an Automatic instead of a manual like mine.

Theo has helped me with my Lancia's and some of you have met him as he was part of the team who did component recover on a rotten Gamma at my place.

Oooh tah - my dad had one of those on an 'N' plate. Awful green colour and a bit of a dog (his Toledo, not him).
I think I'd still prefer the TR7 even though the Toldeo could just about outpace it ;-)

A friend and I do a terribly amateurish YouTube channel and I did a video on the show today. Likely got loads of things wrong and I do seem to describe everything as either lovely or wonderful…

Wow, an N registration Chevette.

I’ve only seen them in period road tests, and famously one features in the Likely Lads film, presumably a Vauxhall press car.

Re the video, I'd have that FIAT Samantha over the boring, overbearing and frankly ugly E Type any day.

Also, phun phact the Diahatsu Campagnola was the first Japanese car sold in the UK. I have a feeling that the one in the video used to be owned by the UK importer.

Early RS13 200SX, 2nd or so year after they replaced the old S12. 

Extremely rare nowadays, thanks to rust and the drifters. Would have been a £800 car once upon a time.
