Mondeo MK1 fixer upper thread “First drive!”

I would suggest gaffer tape applied to protect the door frame and roof gutter then using wood or nylon wedges (a little air bag is best) to open a gap in the top of a back door window frame big enough to insert a long bendable rod through.

The locking system way well be dead locked so just pulling the interior handle with your rod won't work (although always worth a couple of tugs anyway) but hopefully the back window isn't electric so you can bend your rod to push/pull the window winder to lower the glass enough to reach in and finish it by hand.

Not sure if a Mondeo rear seat back can be lowered from the cabin area but there's always the hatch release lever by the drivers seat.

My friend had left them in a suitcase and completely forgot they were there 😅

First drive to work in the Mondeo today, very comfortable. Look at the blue!!!
