You were meant to rub it on the springs.

It stiffens  the suspension.

Found a used condom in one of the rear footwells of my Scirocco.

As I got in the back with a twig to remove it, I then spotted a footprint on the window 🤦🏼

I've remembered another, strange one.

When looking for my first car, my parents and I went to view a Ford Escort hatchback at a local dealer's.  Whilst looking round, I opened the boot and found within it various plastic bags, cardboard folders and pieces of paper.  Thinking nothing of it, I gathered the bits together and made to pick them up, in order to look at the state of the boot carpet.  As I did so, I heard a panicked shout of, 'leave that alone!' from the car dealer.  He then joined me at the back of the Escort and made me put the stuff back as it was, before explaining that it comprised his daughter's half-finished A Level project.  I asked what on earth his daughter's art project was doing in the boot of a car on his forecourt and was given short shrift.

I didn't buy the car.

I once bought a Cortina Crusader for £250 quid in Edinburgh and when i got home and opened the boot there was a really nice 4ton garage spec trolley jack in there.

Guess what I forgot to take out the boot when I sold it?

I once found a full (including root) back tooth… looked to be a human tooth.

About 400 (we counted) empty 20 B &H packets inside a Sierra Sapphire I bought for £30 just for the gearbox, the previous owner really really loved smoking

plenty of cassettes (back in late 80's early 90's) few trolley jacks, enough clothing to start a market stall. the best was a decent ssb cb radio (again early 90's) sold that for more than I paid for the car (renault 14 IIRC)

last few vehicles have usually included a random cd stuffed in the player and phone charging cables!!!

No!  Just a GT!  I still have it today, 26 years later.  It got me to work, this morning!

I remember a similar thread on PH. A 924 owner found a set of photos in a spare wheel well…complete with rusty scalpels that had been used to cut out faces in each photo 👀

Found a trolley jack handle in the sprog's car recently - no matching jack though :-(
Also a full sized steelie rimmed spare under the boot floor - that was more of a surprise for a 2012 car.

Nice! I had a Early Mk2 82 GL for a while that had a 16V 2L conversion - great little cars but suffer from rot badly

The post August 1985 ones (space saver spare wheel and big fuel tank) are much much better protected against the tin worm.

But they’re all very old cars now and most of them have seen some action!

Maggots.

Disco rice.

Forbidden porridge.

A cheap trade-in Mk 3 Astra, 1.4 'Merit' with little to deserve the label.
A stink unholy, a gag worthy of Michael Macintyre.
A seat, sticky with sweets from childish passengers.
A hand, plunged betwixt cracks in the fabric, to find a texture, a WARMTH, of unnerving quality
A cushion raised
And bile, to match

Maggotcar did clean up okay but UGH.

Yeah - mine was tiny fuel tank, single wiper and a  generally a bit crusty all round - but with close to 200hp, straight pipe and 800kg ish it was a very fun if slightly antisocial toy!!!

Oh and back on topic - found a Halfords Professional 1/4" ratchet, extension and 10mm deep socket in the glove box!

The non bodykit models are very desirable now!

Did yours have the two piece parcel shelf?  It might have been slightly too new for that, even on a Y reg!
