Do I take my 120bhp classic beetle with extremely perished tyres, or my mk1 MX5 that’s currently not idling great and missing a drivers side mirror? Hmmmm decisions decisions 🤔

Upon inspection, the fuel leak on my XM is much worse than I thought it was.

IMG_3374.jpeg.f46d3dedacd3a1ff8978bdd0d01f3899.jpeg

Fuel leaks out the back of the pump at about the same rate this car makes my soul leak out my body.

I’ve checked  the spare pump, and there’s nowhere obvious that could be leaking in that area. I think it may be a leak between the pump housing and the rotary head. I suspect a pump off job to investigate.

I’m definitely not driving it like that, so I’ll either be coming up in the Clio or I may stay home and cry work on the XM.

I wouldn't mind some of the L ones.

Actually that raises a question - how do we stand with Flower farm? I guess they'll get some cafe sales from us being there, but not sure they'll gain much else except piss in the bogs.

We’ll turn up, park in the car park and all have breakfast at some point and/or buy stuff in the farm shop, just like all their other customers.

I popped in today and let them know, we’re coming, she said fine.
I’ve dropped the owner an email too. .

If no one has been before the farm shop is good even if you don’t want breakfast there.

Parking!

The car park is in 2 sections. The  main busy bit is by the cafe & shop buildings  this is the bit the entrance and exit bring you into. From this bit there’s a gate you’ll need  to drive through to get to the extra bit of car park which is alongside the road. It will make sense when you get there.
Head to the far corner of this bit and we’ll park up there. It’s a dead end corner and most likely will be quiet, if not we’ll gradually take it over by stealth.

I’m aiming to be there just before 10am. Safe journey all!

I'll pop in tomorrow in a Saab 900.  Not the same one as last year but this one:

So spending tomorrow working on the XM can get in the sea.

I’ll now be coming up in The Best Car In The World ™️

See you all there!

Took the MG for a lazy drive-thru car wash yesterday so as long as no birds crap on it it'll look half-decent tomorrow. Planning to leave around 9:30, early start for me on a Sunday.

Hoping to meet you then. Any tasks that shiters could assist with for REV (bearing in mind it's a commercial car park)?

I suppose if someone has dial-back timing light they could bring along? I'd be quite curious to know what REV's timing is set to, and if I am right next to the M25 it would be rude not to use it for tuning runs I suppose?

You’re just mad. Sorry no timing light, but have a multimeter in the boot with the small toolbox.

I had a 2.8 TDi Frontera about 15 years ago. It was brilliant and I regret selling it. I look forward to seeing yours tomorrow.

Shes no beauty queen, most of the clear coat has left the chat…..but I like bouncing around it.

It will be nice to take a close look at your sierra also.

Agreed. Maybe oldest car there?

I can come along to this now, although might not be able to stay long.  Will treat myself to a ULEZ day and bring the 406.

The sun is out the sky is blue there ain't a cloud in sight etc

But more important the m3 and m25 junction 10 seems all clear.

I am going to come over. The concrete section of m25 in suzuki sj is not appealing.

The mot is booked this week for the mk3 laguna so a good blast on the motorway and some cataclean on the way back sounds good.

It’s a shame I couldn’t come today, but the Mrs is days away from giving birth to my daughter so we didn’t wanna risk taking the Jaguar up there and back from Portsmouth in case anything went wrong hope you all have a lovely time though!

Since the 924 can’t make it plan B was to bring the Itera plastic Volvo bike.

IMG_6327.jpeg.d0d64f37f6551c19972add833bfa5211.jpeg

Spent an hour or two cleaning and checking it over yesterday and just I have just found out it doesn’t fit in the boot of our estate car.

So plan C is the mini. See you all soon.
