What about all the people that live on that route or the farmers that use it for access?

Expand

They'll be provided with ladders.

Maps will be updated to show access as a game with its ups and downs

Nearly every time I've driven the Snake Pass I've ended up being stuck behind a camper or caravan doing 35 for most of the length.  Although last time I went that way (westbound, unusually), I saw a 7.5-tonne lorry off in the distance and my heart sank.  A few bends later I saw it again, still in the distance.  It took me a good 5 minutes to catch him up, and when I did I just sat behind him - he was absolutely hooning it, and it was more fun sitting behind and watching a lorry being driven properly than it would have been to try and overtake.

Sorry, no snake jokes in this post, I think we've adder nough of those for now.

The first time I went over snake pass was when I was about 7 and we were going on holiday.

The taxi company forgot to send the car to collect us at 2am to take us to manchester airport, and in the panic all they had was a 5 door fiat uno, and there was 5 of us plus luggage. I was sat on the back seat, on my mums knee, with a suitcase on my knee. I was sick twice.

It must be absolutely shit driving them for a living now, with all the onboard cameras, digital tachographs and trackers, etc.  The good old days of 'if in doubt, flat out' were great fun.

What kind of miserable taxi company has fiat unos at all? I don't even fit in the front of one let alone in the back!

It is a national embarrassment that they didn't plough the M67 through there when they could have done it in the 70s.

I forget that normal people have stumpy little legs so they can fit in cars.

Snake fact.

Most snakes have zero percent legs. Meaning that a trip in a Fiat Uno taxi sat on their mams lap, with a suitcase on their knee would be an absolute breeze. It may still be sick, but most likely because it's eaten something larger than it's stomach. Which greedy snakes sometimes do.

Mous good.  Leave me alone in warm two day please or ill throw it up again though.

No passenger rides on mum's lap in fiat.  Absolutely not.

So if they have no legs, how are they going to pass then?

Sorry.....

My friend's snake eats rats, but it's racist so will only eat white ones. Which apparently are more expensive because most snake food rat breeders don't specifically breed for colour.

I'm gonna tell you the truth mate.

No. .

No snakes don't have knees. Or laps. And they don't get taxis.

I feel like a fool now.

That's why taxi drivers hate them.

Snakes travel by plane, I saw a documentary with Samuel L Jackson all about it. It didn't say whether they got a taxi to the airport.

Sometimes they wear top hats and smoke cigarettes*
