Crack right up the middle of the windscreen and its spreading!

And no, dont be daft, I dont have cover on my insurance.

Quote 1: Autoglass - £980.82p

Quote 2: Nationwide Glass - £508

Quote 3: Awaiting Quote

Other than that, this car makes me smile EVERYTIME I drive it.

That is a bummer. That is an expensive screen from Autoglass. Still, £500 is a hell of a chunk of change. Hopefully quote 3 will be a bit cheaper!

I'd just live with that until it got really bad 🤣

Only because I've stung myself in the past and become a victim of sod's law. Had a small crack in a screen many years ago, eventually it bugged me and I got it done. Two weeks later it got a stonechip in nearly the same place. Not as bad as the crack but fecking annoying it happened to the new screen 🤣 - so that is why I don't bother replacing them unless I really have to

Try a local private firm. There's one near me (Sussex) that will supply and fit for £2-300 on most older mainstream cars. Even though a Vectra B is getting on a bit now, I can't imagine a screen being too hard to come by and subsequently ramming up the cost

I am showing 2 new genuine GM windscreens in stock, a clear and a green tint, £100 each but you would have to collect from North Lincs
